THE ALL-TIME SERIES VERSUS FLORIDA GULF COAST
Kennesaw State trails in the series 6-12 and recently FGCU has won 10 straight against the Owls after defeating them twice this season. Although the Eagles got the sweep, both games came down to the wire and were decided by five points.

Post-Season Awards
After finishing the season off winning four of five games, Kennesaw State's Kendrick Ray and Yonel Brown were honored by the Atlantic Sun Conference on Monday, February 29. Ray was named Newcomer of the Year and to the A-Sun Second Team All-Conference along Brown.

Ray is the first Kennesaw State player to win the Newcomer of the Year award since the A-Sun started to award it in 2014. Andre Morgan won Freshman of the Year during the 2005-06 season.

Ray and Brown became the first players named to the All-Conference team since 2012.

Two Guards Lead the Way
Kendrick Ray and Brown are the highest scoring tandem in the A-Sun. Overall, Ray is second in the conference averaging 18.9 points per game and Brown is fourth averaging 18.6. In conference play, the two have stepped it up even more as they are one and three in the standings as Ray averages 21.0 points per game and Brown averages 19.9 points per game.

Post Play Stepping Up
During the stretch where the Owls have won four of five, Aubrey Williams and Bernard Morena have really stepped up. Williams has scored in double figures in all four of the five games and Morena has scored in double figures in two of them.

On the defensive end of the floor, the Owls outrebounded their opponents in three of those four wins by five rebounds. Against Stetson and FGCU, the team pulled down nine more rebounds than the Hatters and Eagles. The nine-rebound margin is the biggest in A-Sun play and second biggest margin for the Owls this season

.500 Record in the A-Sun
KSU finished the season at 7-7 in Atlantic Sun play. The Owls haven't finished at .500 in league play since the first two seasons the team played in Division I. During the 2005-06 season, the team finished 10-10 in the A-Sun and during the 2006-07 season, the team had a 9-9 conference record.

Reaching 100
Kennesaw State scored over 100 points in three games this season against Reinhardt, Lipscomb and North Florida. That is the most times a Kennesaw State team has reached the century mark since the team played at the NAIA level in 1993-94. When the Owls scored over 100 points against Reinhardt, it was the first time going over the century mark since joining the D-I ranks. The last time the team reached the century mark was in the 2004-05 season in a 103-61 victory over UNC Pembroke on Feb. 19, 2005.

30-Point Performances
Brown and Ray have combined for five 30-point performances this season. Brown has had three as he scored 34 against Alabama, 31 against Elon and 34 against Stetson. Ray has had two 30-point games scoring 30 against Mercer and 31 against FGCU.
