SCOUTING STETSON                                     
Stetson is 9-18 and currently sits at 3-8 in the A-Sun conference. Derick Newton leads them averaging 15.6 points per game.
 
Brian Pegg is the A-Sun leader in rebounds per game averaging 9.7.
 
In the first game between the two teams, Stetson got the better of the Owls 84-79 at Kennesaw State. In the game, Pegg led the way totaling 20 points and 14 rebounds in the Hatter victory.
 
A season ago, KSU topped Stetson in Deland 61-56. Corey Williams is in his third season as head coach for the Hatters.

Stetson grabbed an edge in the series as it sits at 10-11 with their victory over the Owls earlier in the season.
 
Two Guards Lead the Way
Kendrick Ray and Yonel Brown are the highest scoring tandem in the A-Sun and they didn't disappoint against North Florida and Jacksonville. Ray led all scorers with 25 points against UNF and Brown finished with 22 points to combine for 47 in the game. Then, against Jacksonville Brown led the team with 27 and Ray chipped in with 24. It is the ninth time this season that the two have combined for at least 40 points and it was the fifth time they've combined for 50 points.
 
Overall, Brown is second in the conference averaging 18.9 points per game and Ray is tied for third averaging 18.5 In conference play, the two have stepped it up even more as they are one and two in the standings as Brown averages 20.9 points per game and Ray averages 20.6 points per game.
 
Lighting it Up from Outside
Kennesaw State leads the A-Sun in three-point shooting percentage in conference play. The team shoots from behind the arc at a 42.0 percent clip. The next closest team is North Florida, who makes 38.4 percent of there threes.
 
Ray is a big reason why the Owls percentage is so high from long range because he is second in the A-Sun, shooting 49.0 percent from three-point land.
 
Offense Clicking in Conference Play
Since A-Sun play started, Kennesaw State has increased its conference scoring the most compared to its season average. After the 101-point outburst against North Florida, the team averages 72.1 points per game for the season and is averaging 79.36 points per game in conference play.
 
In the 11 games, KSU has have shot over 50 percent in nine halves in conference play.
 
Home Sweet Home
The Owls finished 8-6 in the KSU Convocation Center this season. With the win against Jacksonville, it matches the most wins at home since the team won eight in 2009-10.

From the floor, the team has shot 44.6 percent and 36.6 percent from behind the arc. Both of these are considerable increases from a season ago. During the 2014-15 season, the Owls shot 40.4 from the floor while shooting 32.4 from three-point range.
 
Balanced Scoring Attack
When Kennesaw State has won this season, they have had multiple players chipping in on the offensive end of the floor. In six of the nine wins this season, the team has had at least four scorers in double figures and in two of those games, there were five in double figures.
