Game Preview
After an 11 day break from games, Kennesaw State begins the Gotham Classic at Rider on December 14 at 7 p.m. The Broncs are 5-3 on their season so far and winners of two in a row beating Siena and Pacific.
 
After KSU plays Rider, they will finish the Gotham Classic by playing at UMass on December 17, at Pacific on December 20 and at home against N.C. A&T on December 22.
 
Winning the Boards
KSU has cleaned up the boards this season outrebounding its opponents in seven of the nine games that they have played.
 
The largest margin the Owls have had in rebounding is 16 over Florida A&M and have grabbed 10 more rebounds than their opponents in three games.
 
Leading Scorer
For the season, Kendrick Ray is second in the ASUN averaging 22.3 points per game. Against UMBC and Alabama State, he posted 30-points games with 33 against Alabama State and had 31 against UMBC.
 
This season, Ray has scored at least 20 points in six of the nine games and been in double-figures every game this season.
 
Double-Double Machine
Through nine games, Aubrey Williams is averaging 13.1 points and 11.8 rebounds with six double-doubles. He leads the ASUN and has the eighth most in the nation with the six double-doubles.
 
The 11.8 rebound mark is currently tied for fourth in the nation. He is one of 31 players in the country to be averaging over 10 boards per game
 
Masterson of the Three
Nick Masterson has increased his scoring this season from 4.7 ppg last season to 12.8 ppg this season. He is the team leader hitting 25 treys this season and has made at least three shots behind the arc in five of the nine games.
 
His 45.5 percent clip from deep is the sixth best mark in the ASUN.
 
Fighting for a Cure
For every three pointer Kennesaw State makes this season, Fifth Third Bank will donate $53 dollars to SU2C. After six games, KSU has made 49 threes equaling 2,597 dollars for donations.
