THE STORYLINE:
· Sitting in first place in the ASUN, the Kennesaw State volleyball team throttled the Stetson Hatters in a quick three-set match behind a potent offense that hit .398 and 37 assists from Kristi Piedimonte.

SCHUNZEL QUOTE:
"Incredibly proud of our focus and consistent execution tonight. That's the sign of mature team, to play as well as we did on the road against a team at the bottom of the standings with a huge game ahead of us tomorrow. All day the talk from our team was about Stetson and as a coach that's really cool. We prepared well for the match and dominated from start to finish. Tomorrow night against Gulf Coast is why our student-athletes and coaches do what we do. The Owls will be ready."

HOW IT HAPPENED:
First Set: The Owls cruised out to a five-point lead early going up 10-5. After the Owls pushed their lead to eight, the Hatters pulled to within four, but the Owls offense was too good closing out the opener 25-19.

Second Set: Overall, the second set was closer as both teams were tied at 18. Maddie Jones stepped up to serve and led the Owls on a 4-0 run to give KSU some breathing room. Once they had the lead, the Owls closed out the set hitting .432.

Third Set: With the Owls leading 15-12, Kennesaw State closed the match on a 10-3 run to finish out the match in straight sets for the fourth straight time against Stetson.
