KENNESAW, Ga. – Kennesaw State senior DB
Derrick Farrow will be joining the best FCS college football players from around the nation to play in the third-annual FCS Bowl All-Star Game on Saturday in Daytona Beach, Fla.
Â
The annual postseason tilt consists of top players who are invited to play in the annual event, while NFL/CFL scouts are at hand to view some of the best seniors at the FCS level. The game is one of the few postseason all-star games for elite non-FBS talent.
Â
The game kicks at 1:30 p.m. ET at Daytona Beach Municipal Stadium in Daytona Beach.
Â
Farrow will play for the National Team (Black), coached by former 18-year NFL veteran and award-winning Mike Stock of the Green Bay Packers.
Â
A two-time All-Big South Conference honoree, Farrow was key a member in the Owls' secondary over the last two seasons, playing all 22 games as a defensive back. He totaled 110 total tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, five pass breakups, a program-record five forced fumbles and two interceptions.
Â
For his efforts on the field, Farrow was also named a HERO Sports Defensive Stud in 2015 and listed on the CFPA FCS Defensive Awards Watch List in 2015.
Â
The Owls finished the 2016 season with an 8-3 record overall.
