A WIN AGAINST BREWTON PARKER WOULD
- Give the Owls their first victory of the 2016-17 basketball season.
- Be the third year in a row that the Owls have won their home opener.

THE ALL-TIME SERIES VERSUS BREWTON PARKER
The Owls own a 6-2 record against Brewton Parker, but this will be the first meeting between the two teams since KSU joined Division I. The last meeting happened back in 1992 and Kennesaw State walked away with the victory 86-81.

SCOUTING BREWTON PARKER
- Gavin Chapman enters his third season as the head coach at Brewton Parker. He played for the Barons when he was in college and served as head coach of the JV team his senior season.
- Brewton Parker is off to a 4-1 start to their season led by McKel Miller. He leads the team in scoring (26.4), rebounds (6.6) and assists (13).

SENIOR CAPTAINS
Kendrick Ray and
Aubrey Williams were both named captains for this season. Last season, Ray led the team averaging 18.7 points per game and set a new school record with 579 points on the season.

Also a newcomer last season, Williams was a spark off the bench averaging 8.3 points per game and leading the team in rebounding with 6.3 per game.

2016-17 Team
Coach Skinner has eight returning players from a season ago that learned his system last year to help bridge the learning curve that the six freshmen are facing right now. The team overall is very young as there are 10 underclassmen on the team.

Masterson of the Three
Junior
Nick Masterson's hard work this offseason paid off as he went 11-16 from the field while setting a new career high with 29 points. He was 7-10 from behind the arc tying a Kennesaw State single-game record.

Freshmen See Early Playing Time
Four freshmen saw action early in the game against Iowa and all of them made their mark.
Johannes Nielsen led the bunch in scoring putting up eight points for the Owls.
Anthony Wilson was right behind him with six points.
Tyler Hooker chipped in five points and four assists while
Zach Cameron pulled down seven rebounds.

Spreading the Ball Around
The Owls assisted on 19 of 30 field goals in the game against Iowa and nine of the 10 players that saw action scored.

Closing in on 400
Head Coach
Al Skinner is close to a career milestone as he currently sits on win 396. A season ago, the Owls finished with 11 wins.
