Game Preview
Kennesaw State volleyball had its 12-match winning streak snapped last Friday and will look to start another streak against NJIT and USC Upstate. Earlier in the season, KSU swept both matches against the Highlanders and Spartans in straight sets.

Kennesaw State Team Notes
• Kennesaw State's team this year has taken it to another level as it had the fourth longest winning streak in the nation winning 12 straight matches. The previous record winning streak for KSU was eight matches.
• KSU finished the first half of ASUN play 7-0 for the first time in Kennesaw State history. The best start previously for the Owls in the ASUN was 2-0. Despite the loss to the Bisons last Friday, the Owls still sit in first place in the standings at 7-1 holding the tie breaker with FGCU, who is also 7-1.
• Earlier in the season, Anaiah Boyer had a streak of four straight ASUN weekly awards. The first week she was named Defensive Player of the Week and then won Player of the Week for three straight weeks. She was the first player to win three straight since Kelly Paiva of Florida Atlantic did it in 2005.
• Kristi Piedimonte has been having a great season and was key during the 12-match win streak. Over the last 13 matches, she has totaled 524 assists. That total puts her at 11.15 assists per set and 40.3 assists per match.
• Boyer is third in the ASUN in kills per set with 3.31 kills per set. In conference play, she has stepped up even more killing the ball 3.97 times per set.
• Liesl Engelbrecht has been a big spark for the Owls on the offensive and defensive end this season. Last Friday against Lipscomb, she led the team with seven blocks. That was the fourth time in her career she has had at least 7 blocks in a match through her two seasons. Her career-high is 10 blocks in 2015 versus USC Upstate.
 • KSU has been really good serving the ball this season as they have 109 for the season. Fanise Cannon leads the team with 23 and Piedimonte is right behind her with 22 service aces.
• The team has been really solid on the back line this season averaging 16.07 digs per set. If the season ended now that would be a new school record. The Owls have five players with at least 165 digs with Katarina Morton leading the team with 432.
• Morton eclipsed the 400 dig mark with seven regular season matches left. Her career high in a season is 476. She is currently the active career leader in the ASUN with 1,340 digs. Her 5.20 average per set is 14th in the country. She is the only player in the ASUN to average over five digs per set.
