Results Johnson City ,Tenn. – The Kennesaw State track and field teams wrapped up action at the David E.Walker Kickoff Classic hosted by ETSU at the ETSU/ MHSA Athletic Center on January 9
th.

On the women's side,
Kidan Kidane continued her red hot start to the season. She won the one mile race in 4:59.33 and finished second in the 800m 2:18.81.
Maileka Slayton finished third in the 400m in 57.35.
Jocselyn Powell was sixth in 58.47, while freshman
Latoya Hunt grabbed a seventh place finish in 59.21.
Slayton would also grab an 8th place finish in the 60m with a time of 7.84.
The Owls took three out of the top four places in the triple jump.
Morgan Campbell won the event with a leap of 11.95m ( 39-2.5) finishing just ahead of teammate De'von Johnson who jumped 11.91m (39-1.0) to finish second.
Fallon Reed jumped 11.28m (37-0.25) to finish fourth.
Laura Maria-Oja finished fourth in the 60m hurdles in 9.14.
On the men's side.
Sean Blassingame continued his strong start to the young season with a second place finish in the triple jump with a leap of 13.82m (45-4.25) Freshman
Frantzky Thomas and
Jonathon Duffy finished fourth and fifth in the triple jump.
Freshman
Braden Canamare was fourth in the 400m in 50.48 finishing just .20 seconds ahead of Noel Rymer who was fifth in 50.68.
Junior
Hunter Arnold and senior Josh Mulder both tied for third in the pole vault with vaults of 4.70m (15-5).
The Owls return to action on January 15-16, 2016 when they compete in a pair of one day meets at the UAB Blazer Invitational and UAB Vulcan Invitational.
