Scouting StetsonStetson is 7-13 this season and is off to a 1-4 start in the A-Sun conference. Derick Newton leads them averaging 16.0 points per game.
Brian Pegg is the A-Sun leader in rebounds per game averaging 9.4.
The Hatters are 1-8 on the road this season with the one win coming on a neutral court against Bethune Cookman.
Corey Williams is in his third season as head coach for the Hatters.
The All-Time Series against StetsonThe series is tied at 10-10. Kennesaw State has won the previous three games against the Hatters to even up the series. Last year, KSU won 88-82 in the KSU Convocation Center.
Batman and RobinKendrick Ray and
Yonel Brown are the highest scoring tandem in the A-Sun and they didn't disappoint against FGCU. The two combined for 51 points against the Eagles as Ray had 31 and Brown finished with 20.
It is the third time this season the duo has combined to score 50-plus points and three other times they have both topped 40 points. Ray and Brown lead the A-Sun averaging 36 points per game.
One of the two players has led the team in scoring in every game except for three so far this season.
Sharing the BallThe team has had more assists than turnovers in six of seven games. In two of those games, the Owls accumulated 20 assists.
Against FGCU, the team totaled it's least amount of turnovers during the season with only eight and had 15 assists.
Master at HomeNick Masterson has hit his stride in home games. The sophomore has scored in double-digits in three straight games in the KSU Convocation Center. He has averaged 17 points per game over that stretch scoring 17 against Reinhardt, 24 against Lipscomb and 10 against FGCU. On the year, he has made 26 threes and 20 of those have come at home.
Offense FlowingSince 2016 struck, the Owls have played three games at home and have been shooting at a high clip. They have averaged 55.9 percent in the three games shooting 61.5 percent against Reinhardt, 57.1 percent against Lipscomb and 49.2 percent against FGCU.
