This season marks a new era in KSU women's tennis as
Eduardo Rincon has assumed the title of Director of Tennis and
Miranda Foley has been promoted to assistant head coach.
The Owls return five letterwinners from a year ago, including seniors
Gabriela Bueno,
Isabela Castro and
Ashleigh De Wet. Also returning from last season's team are sophomores
Cristina Martin and
Alexandra Mercado.
The NewcomersTwo newcomers have been added to roster including Kansas State transfer
Laura Hopton and freshman
Gabrielle Robinson (Stone Mountain, Ga. / Chamblee HS).
Quoting Foley"We as a coaching staff are excited for this weekend's first road trip of the fall, assistant head coach
Miranda Foley said. "For some of the girls it will be their first time representing the Owls in a competition environment. There is no time like the present to get their KSU career's underway. As a team we feel good going into the weekend. The girls have been putting in the work on the practice court and are getting a little better every day. We expect to see the same out of them this weekend."
