APSU Game PreviewThe Kennesaw State soccer team will wrap up their five-match road swing with a final trip to Clarksville, Tenn., as the Owls do battle with Austin Peay in Morgan Brothers Soccer Field on Friday night (Sept. 18).
This will be the second-ever meeting between the two schools with the Owls taking the first meeting with a 1-0 win last season on Sept. 5, 2014 in a neutral-site match in Murfreesboro, Tenn.
Samford Game PreviewFollowing their five-match road swing that saw the Owls away from Kennesaw for three weeks, KSU returns home for three-straight matches, first hosting Samford at Nuesoft Technologies Soccer Field on the KSU Marietta Campus on Sunday, Sept. 20 at 1 p.m. ET in Marietta, Ga.
Sunday's match will be the seventh meeting between the regional rivals, with the Bulldogs holding a 4-2-0 advantage in the series. The Owls took the previous meeting a season ago in a 4-2 win in Birmingham, Ala., on Sept. 21, 2014.
Owls Fight But Fall to No. 17 South CarolinaFor the first time this season the Kennesaw State soccer team faced off against a ranked opponent as the Owls fell to No. 17 South Carolina, 6-0, on a clear and calm Monday evening (Sept. 14) at Eugene E. Stone Soccer Stadium in Columbia, S.C.

KSU Team Notes- The Owls offense ranks in the top 50 in NCAA rankings as KSU sits 17th in total goals (20), 27th in scoring offense (2.5) and is 50th in points per game (6.38).

Cassidy Kemp leads the Kennesaw State offense with 11 points on five goals and an assist through eight games this season.
- In the NCAA, Kemp ranks 79th in goals per game (.0625) and is 113th in points per game (1.38).
- Kemp ranks in the top three of several categories in the Atlantic Sun Conference, ranking second in points per game (1.38), goals (five) and goals per game (0.62). She also ranks third in points (11) and is eighth in shots (18).

Monica Herrera rank in the top 10 in the league for shots as Fincher leads the Owls with 19 shots, which ranks in a tie for sixth in the league, while Herrera owns 17 shots, good for a tie of ninth in the A-Sun.
- The Owls lead the A-Sun in shots (128), shots per game (16.0), points (51), goals (20), and goals per game (2.50). KSU is also the co-leader in the conference with 36 corners.
- Monday's match at South Carolina marked the first contest this season that the Owls have played against a ranked opponent as the Gamecocks came in at No. 17 in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Coaches Poll.
- The last time the Owls faced a ranked opponent was during the 2013 season when they played at No. 1 North Carolina on Sept. 1. KSU also played against No. 12 Duke that weekend, taking on the Blue Devils on Aug. 30 in Chapel Hill.
