Just like last year, Georgia Tech is the final match for the Kennesaw State volleyball team in its non-conference schedule. Tech comes in at 9-2 losing to Coastal Carolina and Nebraska. Coming into the match, both teams are undefeated against in-state teams as Kennesaw State is 4-0 and Georgia Tech is 3-0.

The match will start at 7 p.m. and be televised on A-Sun TV.

Kennesaw State Team Notes
• The Owls have been very successful playing in-state teams so far this season. They are 4-0 to this point, beating Georgia State, Georgia Southern, Mercer and Savannah State. Georgia Tech is also undefeated against in-state teams as they are 3-0 beating Georgia Southern, Mercer and Georgia.
• Kennesaw State is 3-1 at home in the KSU Convocation Center this season. A large part of that are the energetic crowds that have been there for each match. Through four matches, the average crowd has been over 515 people.
• For the Chattanooga match, there was the fourth biggest crowd in KSU volleyball history with 718 people. In the Schunzel era, his team has had three of the top four matches attendance wise. The highest attendance came against Georgia State in 2011 with 1,222.
Sydni Shelton led the team in kills against the Mocs. It was the fourth time she has led the team in kills this season and three of those four have been at home.
• Shelton leads Kennesaw State and is third in the Atlantic Sun in hitting percentage at .346. She has hit over .300 in five matches.
• In the seven wins that the Owls have had this season, they have swept five of their opponents. In Schunzel's first two seasons, his team has had six sweeps combined.
• Kennesaw State has two players with at least 90 kills and a third with 89 kills. Anaiah Boyer leads the team with 94 kills and is second in digs with 72. Shelton is second on the team with 90 kills and as mentioned earlier, leads the team in hitting percentage. Kelly Marcinek is third on the team with 89 kills.
• Sophomore setter Kristi Piedimonte has started the year off strong being named to the All-Tournament teams for the Kennesaw State Invitational and the Popcorn Classic at Valparaiso. She has 316 assists through the 10 matches this season averaging 9.58 per set.
• Due to the offense being spread around, the team's hitting percentage leads the A-Sun at .259. The defense hasn't been too shabby either, as the team is second in the conference in opponents hitting percentage at .163.
• Along with Shelton, Rachel Taylor and Cierra Royster have also hit at a high clip this season. Royster is fifth in the A-Sun with a .338 hitting percentage and Taylor is sixth hitting .312.
