KENNESAW, Ga. – The Kennesaw State women's tennis team traveled to Macon, Ga. on Tuesday (Apr. 7) and recorded a 4-3 win over in-state rival at the LeRoy Peddy Tennis Center.
With the win, KSU advances to 2-13 on the season while Mercer falls to 4-16.
The Owls opened the match by claiming the doubles point at the No. 1 and No. 2 positions.

Jana Hueckinghaus took care of Grace Korta/Roxy Bartz in an 8-4 win at No. 1 while
Alexandra Mercado/
Cristina Martin beat Laura Kelly/Liza Klyachkin 8-7 at the No. 2 position.
Kennesaw State continued its dominance into singles play.

Virginie Stein defeated Xandra Fougner 6-3, 6-1 at No. 1 singles.

Jana Hueckinghaus won her match 6-1, 6-4 over Grace Korta at the No. 2 position and freshman
Alexandra Mercado beat Roxy Bartz 6-2, 6-2 at No. 3.
The Bears answered with three singles victories of their own; however, the Owls had already clinched the match with four points.
Kennesaw State will return to action on Saturday (Apr. 11) to wrap up its season against USC Upstate at 2 p.m. ET in Spartanburg, S.C.
