KENNESAW, Ga. – The Kennesaw State men's tennis team had a productive day on the road, dominating the Northern Kentucky Norse 4-2 to collect its first win in A-Sun play and sixth win of the season.
 
With the victory, KSU advances to 6-10 on the dual-match season while NKU falls to 5-10.
 
Despite having to move the match to an indoor facility due to inclement in the Highland Heights area, KSU remained focused on bringing home the win over the Norse.
 
Today's match was the first time the Kennesaw State men's tennis team competed indoors and the men adjusted to the atmosphere in a positive way.
 
The Owls owned singles play throughout the match, posting wins at the No. 1, No. 3, No. 5, and No. 6 positions respectively.
 
Sophomore Simon Pritchard was the first Owl to clinch his match with a 6-2, 6-3 victory over Mate Virag at No. 1 singles.
 
Sophomore Jake Bouchillon ended his match with a 6-4, 6-7, 6-1 win over Jody Maginley at No. 3.
 
Sophomore David Durham beat Jack Carney 7-5, 6-3 at No. 5 and Junior Jorge Wilton clinched the match in a 6-2, 6-1 win at No. 6 over Balint Zsidai.
 
"I am proud of our team and the way we competed," said head coach Eduardo Rincon. "We faced some bad weather and had to move indoors to compete. Despite those challenges, however, our guys got the job done."
 
Kennesaw State will return to action on Saturday (Apr. 4) when it hosts Lipscomb in a 10 a.m. ET match at Fair Oaks Park in Marietta, Ga.
