KENNESAW, Ga. – The Kennesaw State men's tennis team fell short in a tough 4-2 loss to Stetson on Saturday (Mar. 21) at Fair Oaks Tennis Center in Marietta, Ga.
 
The Owls opened the match by clinching the doubles point at the No. 1 and No. 3 positions respectively, continuing their success in doubles action this season.
 
David Durham/Drew Wendel clinched the doubles point in an 8-7 victory Loic Blanco/Laurynas Antropikas  at No. 1 doubles, while Simon Pritchard and Jorge Wilton took care of Simon Julin/Graham Ball 8-6 at the No. 3 position.
 
Sophomore Jake Bouchillon competed hard in a 7-5, 6-7, 4-0 tiebreaker match against Simon Julin at No. 4 singles. Bouchillon took the lead in the last set and could have potentially won before the match was determined by a win for the Hatters at the No. 2 position.
 
Sophomore Simon Pritchard recorded the only singles victory for the Owls at the No. 1 position, taking down Nathan Debut 6-1, 6-3.
 
"I am very proud of our team and the way we competed today," said head coach Eduardo Rincon. "We played hard against a tough team and we are continuing to work hard everyday. We have improved so much over the course of the season and I trust that if we continue to make those strides, the matches will eventually turn in our favor."
