A-Sun Conference KSU PreviewDALLAS, Texas – Kennesaw State junior outfielder
Alex Liquori was named a second team preseason All-American by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA), the organization announced on Tuesday (Feb. 3).

Liquori's All-American selection marks the second straight year the Owls have had a player named a preseason All-American, joining
Max Pentecost who was honored by the
Sporting News last year. Â He was named to the A-Sun Conference preseason all-conference team on Jan. 28.

The Kennesaw State junior returns as the Owls' leading hitter in 2015 after playing in 51 games and producing a .354 average with 13 doubles, a team-leading five triples, one home run, 42 RBI and 37 runs scored in 2014. Liquori batted .394 with seven doubles, four triples and 14 RBI in A-Sun Conference play en route to earning second team all-conference honors.

Liquori and the 19th-ranked Owls are set to open their season on Friday, Feb. 13 when they host No. 25 Liberty at Stillwell Stadium beginning at 4 p.m. (ET). The game can be heard live on KSUOwls.com with Nathan McCreary describing the action.

Season tickets are currently on sale for the full 29-game home schedule at $39 per ticket. Single-game tickets are also available at $6 for adults and $4 for youth (ages 3-12). Group tickets for 10 or more people are available for advanced purchase, excluding the Georgia (Feb. 17), Georgia Tech (Mar. 17) and Georgia Southern (Mar. 24) games when individual tickets will be $10 for adults and $6 for youth.
