KENNESAW, Ga. – The Owls pulled away late in their exhibition against the Middle Georgia State Knights to win 98-75.

After being tied at halftime, Kennesaw State outscored MGSU 53-30 in the second half.

Holding on to a seven-point lead with 14:23 left, KSU held the Knights to two points over the next six minutes forcing six turnovers in that stretch to fuel an 11-2 run.

From there, Kendrick Ray took over pushing the Owls lead up to 23. He had 15 of his 21 points in the second half.

Next Friday, November 13, Kennesaw State will begin its season in Tuscaloosa, Alabama at 8:30 p.m. on SEC Network.

Coach Skinner on the Exhibition Win
"It's an exhibition. We were trying a couple of different things and some worked and some didn't. Overall, the effort was there, so I was pleased about that. At times, especially early we were a little anxious and didn't execute as well or handle the ball well. We had a lot of turnovers in the first half that led to opportunities for them. I thought we settled down more in the second half both defensively and offensively and because of that it allowed us to score more points. In the first half, we didn't take quality shots and in the second half we took much better shots. I was pleased with that. The thing is it's important to execute, and we did a much better job of that in the second half."
 - Kennesaw State Head Coach Al Skinner
