Game Preview
After clinching the fourth seed in the Atlantic Sun Tournament with the 1-0 win against USC Upstate, Kennesaw State returns home for Senior Night.
 
The Owls will be celebrating the lone senior on the roster this season in Hannah Churchill before the team takes on Emory at 7 p.m.
 
Owls Clinch Four Seed in A-Sun Tournament Defeating Upstate 1-0
In the final game of the Atlantic Sun regular season, the Kennesaw State soccer team beat USC Upstate 1-0 to clinch the four seed in the A-Sun Tournament.
 
In the 78th minute with the score tied 0-0, Cassidy Kemp hit Shannon Driscoll with a through ball, and with only the keeper to beat, Driscoll made a nice move before putting the ball in the back of the net.
 
Kennesaw State Team Notes
• Having already clinched a spot in the A-Sun Tournament, the game against the Spartans was only for seeding. With the 1-0 win, KSU will be hosting an A-Sun Tournament game for the seventh time since joining the A-Sun.
 
• The Owls rank 38th in the nation with 34 total goals in 2015 averaging 2.00 goals per game. That average is second in the A-Sun.
 
• The Owls rank in the top-four in the A-Sun every offensive category, including being second in the league in points (5.35), goals (34) and goals per game (2.00), while also ranking third in shots per game (15.18). KSU is also third in assists per game (1.35) and fourth in assists (23). 
 
• Junior Cassidy Kemp leads the team with 16 points on the season, ranking fifth in the conference in that category. Classmate Kim Fincher joins her on the list and is seventh in the league with 14 points in her first season with the Owls.
 
• Kemp and Kim Fincher each have six goals ranking fifth in the conference. Kemp also is second on the team with four assists
 
• Sophomore Ida Hepsoe leads the Owls with six assists and is second in the conference averaging 0.35 per game.
 
• Sophomore Ashley Zambetti got her first career shutout against the Spartans in the final A-Sun regular season game. She made six saves in the game to preserve the clean sheet.
