SPARTANBURG, S.C. – In the final game of the Atlantic Sun regular season, the Kennesaw State soccer team beat USC Upstate 1-0 to clinch the four seed in the A-Sun Tournament.
 
In the 78^th minute with the score tied 0-0, Cassidy Kemp hit Shannon Driscoll with a through ball, and with only the keeper to beat, Driscoll made a nice move before putting the ball in the back of the net.
 
After the goal, the Spartans had one more chance with a corner kick and a shot, but the shot went high.
 
Overall in the game, KSU put 15 shots on goal compared to Upstate putting six on frame.
 
Kennesaw State goalkeeper Ashley Zambetti made six saves to preserve the shutout for the Owls.
 
KSU has one more home game in the regular season as the Owls will celebrate senior Hannah Churchill on Senior Night against Emory on Tuesday at 7 p.m.

- With the win against USC Upstate, Kennesaw State moves to 11-0 all-time against the Spartans.
- With the win, KSU will host Stetson next weekend in Fifth Third Bank Stadium for the opening round of the A-Sun Tournament.
- The goal was Shannon Driscoll's second of the season and fifth in her career.
- Cassidy Kemp had the assist on the goal and it was her fourth of the season. Kemp leads the Owls in points with 16.
- Ashley Zambetti had six saves in the game to keep a shutout. It was the fifth time this season that she has had at least six saves.
- The shutout was the first one for Zambetti this season and third for the Owls this season.
