» The Kennesaw State men's basketball team will play its second game on its trip to Jacksonville as they take on the Jackonville Dolphins on Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m. on ESPN3 in Veterans Memorial Arena.
» Damien Wilson and Yonel Brown are fourth and fifth in scoring in the Atlantic Sun in conference play. Wilson is averaging 17.8 points per game and Brown is averaging 17.3 points per game.

Jacksonville is currently tied in the A-Sun with the Owls holding a 1-5 record. Their one win in conference also came against Stetson at home. The Dolphins leading scorer, Andris Misters, is the sixth highest scorer in the A-Sun averaging 14.3 points per game. JU is led by first year coach Tony Jasick.

This Week in KSU Men's Basketball          
»   The Kennesaw State men's basketball team lost the first game in the Jacksonville swing against North Florida 86-67.
»   On Saturday, KSU will be back on the floor as they play the Jacksonville Dolphins at 2 p.m. on ESPN3. The Owls and Dolphins are currently tied in the A-Sun Standings.
»   This week, the Owls will play a mid-week game against Paine College on Tuesday night at 7 p.m.
 
KSU as a Team                                               
»   With the 88-82 win against Stetson, Kennesaw State notched its sixth win of the season matching last year's total. With one more win it will be the most wins since the 2010-11 team that had eight.
»   KSU is 4-4 on its home court after the win against Stetson. That is the most wins that the Owls have had at home since the 2010-11 team had six. The team has six games remaining on its home floor.
»   In conference play, the the Owls' offense has been averaging 69.5 points per game. The team has scored over 70 points in eight games this season and three of those have come in the first six conference games.
»   The Owls currently lead the A-Sun in free throw percentage at .725. More importantly, the team makes them when they count the most in the final four minutes of the game. In the Owls six wins, the team has sank free throws at a 78 percent clip going 47 of 60 from the line.
»   KSU is the only team in the A-Sun that has two players in the top five of scoring during conference play. Wilson is fourth averaging 17.8 points per game and Brown is fifth averaging 17.3 points per game.

»   Up until this week, a Kennesaw State basketball player won a weekly award from the A-Sun three weeks in a row. The first two weeks Yonel Brown and Nigel Pruitt won the Player of the Week and last week Damien Wilson was named Newcomer of the Week. Before those three weekly awards, the Owls hadn't won any since the 2012-13 season.
»   Yonel Brown's consistent scoring has him fourth in the league averaging 15.7 points per game. Earlier in conference play, he scored 20-plus points in three straight games with 21 points against Lipscomb, 20 points against NKU and 21 against Stetson. Brown just missed the 20-point mark against FGCU as he had 19 points. He has scored in double figures in 13 games in a row and in 19 of the 22 games for the Owls this season.
»   When Pruitt gets going he scores in bunches. There have been three games this season he has led KSU on runs that went at least 9-0. Against Youngstown State he sparked the Owls for 14 straight points and against UMBC and USC Upstate he rattled off nine straight.
»   In four of the past seven games, Wilson and Brown have accounted for at least 43 points for KSU. They each have had 20-plus points in the past three of the past five games.
