THE OPPONENT:Florida Gulf CoastThe league-leading Eagles come into Saturday's contest with a 17-2 overall record, including an unblemished 4-0 mark in Atlantic Sun Conference action. The Eagles, who have won 12-straight, are undefeated at home with a 9-0 record at Alico Arena. FGCU is led by Whitney Knight, who ranks second in the conference with 15.6 points per game and leads the A-Sun with 55 three-pointers on the season. Also in double figures for the Eagles is Kaneisha Atwater with 13.1 points per contest and Stephanie Haas with 10.6 per game. Knight also leads the team with 6.0 boards per game and 39 blocks on the year. FGCU as a team leads the A-Sun in scoring offense, scoring margin, field goal and three-point field goal percentage, rebounding defense, assists, turnover margin, assist-to-turnover ratio and three-pointers made.
THE SERIES:This will be the 17th meeting between the Owls and the Eagles, with FGCU leading the all-time series, 14-2 after a 76-42 win in the teams' last meeting a season ago on Feb. 15, 2014 in Fort Myers. Senior

Kelly Dulkoski came within one point of equaling her career high with 11 points, including three three-pointers, while junior
Jasmine McAllister was one point short of a double-double with nine points and 10 rebounds.
NEXT UP:After two weeks away from the friendly confines of the KSU Convocation Center, the Owls return home to open a three-game home stand, starting with a 7 p.m. ET contest against North Florida on Thursday, Jan. 29.
NEWS AND NOTES:Owls on the GlassKSU is leading the conference in rebounding margin in both overall play (+2.7) and A-Sun action (+5.2) and is holding its opponents to just 33.8 rebounds per contest in conference action and 37.1 rebounds per game in overall play, to rank first and second respectively.
Three-Point DefenseThe Owls are holding opponents to just 27.8 percent from behind the three-point line to rank second in the A-Sun and 44th in the nation.
Protecting the RockKSU is averaging just 13.6 turnovers per game, coming in second in the league and 33rd in the country in that category.
Sharing the BallKSU has been sharing the ball well and has dished out the third-most assists in conference action with 53 helpers in four contests. The Owls are averaging 13.3 assists per game in league play.

McAllister in Top FiveMcAllister ranks second in the conference in rebounding and fifth in scoring with 13.8 points and 10.7 rebounds per game, while also ranking third in the A-Sun with a 49.8 percent clip from the field.
Wells on the BoardsWells joins McAllister in the top-five in the conference for rebounding and ranks fifth with 8.8 boards per contest after grabbing a game-high 12 against Stetson on Thursday.
McAllister in the RankingsMcAllister's 10.7 boards ranks 20th in the NCAA, while the junior also leads the A-Sun and ranks 29th in the country with 4.1 offensive rebounds per game. On the season, she has grabbed 203 boards, with 78 coming on the offensive end of the court.
Sawyers Beyond the ArcSawyers is the co-leader in the A-Sun with 15 three-pointers in conference play and has connected on the second-most three pointers in the conference in overall action with 46 treys on the season. She is averaging 2.4 three-pointers per game, which also ranks second in the A-Sun in that category.
Wells' Assist-to-Turnover RatioWells owns the second-best conference assist-to-turnover ratio and is 28th in the nation with a 2.3 ratio with 69 assists and just 30 turnovers in 674 minutes this season, the third-most minutes played in the A-Sun behind junior
Karly Frye and Sawyers.
