Berry Named to All-CUSA Second Team

3/9/2026 1:00:00 PM

DALLAS — Kennesaw State women's basketball's Keyarah Berry has been named All-Conference USA Second Team, the league announced with the release of its postseason honors on March 9.

With the honor, Berry follows 2025 first teamer Prencis Harden as the Owls' second All-CUSA selection. Berry also becomes the ninth KSU all-conference honoree in the program's Division I era (2005-pres.) and 25th all-time.

A graduate student from Rockmart, Georgia, Berry made the most of her fifth year of eligibility as she averaged a career-best and team-leading 14.1 points per game. Berry also recorded team highs in steals (58), field goals (156) and free throws made (74) with starts in 28 of 29 games.

Throughout her fifth-year campaign, Berry ranked among the top players in CUSA in numerous statistical categories. Berry finished her season ranked second in field goals (146), third in field goal percentage (47.3), fourth in field goal attempts (330) and fifth in scoring (14.1). These marks rank Berry in the top 10 at KSU in the DI era in single-season field goals, scoring average and steals.

Berry scored in double figures in 22 of 28 games played, including memorable performances versus New Mexico State and Liberty, as well as at WKU.

In KSU's 70-55 win over NM State on Jan. 24, Berry racked up a career-high 31 points on 11-of-14 shooting, with 19 in the second half alone.

Berry willed the Owls to their first all-time win over Liberty in a 64-58 decision on Feb. 7. With her signature tenacious play, Berry secured the go-ahead score as she buried a turnaround jumper in the lane over two defenders to put KSU in front for good with 24 seconds to play.

Berry made an impact on both ends of the floor throughout the season, but in no game was that more apparent than her 17-point, eight-rebound, seven-steal effort at WKU on Feb. 12. The Owls trailed 51-50 with 1:23 to go when Berry stepped into a passing lane and made WKU pay with a steal and fastbreak score. The Lady Toppers had a chance to tie in the final six seconds when Berry jumped in for the game-sealing steal.

After playing a total of just six minutes in three games as a freshman at Indiana in 2021-22, Berry blossomed with the Owls and concludes her time at KSU with her name littering the program's DI era records. Berry's career marks include fourth in free throw attempts (354), sixth in games played (115) and free throws made (219), seventh in field goals (403), as well as eighth in points (1078) and steals (123).
