MURFREESBORO, Tenn. | HAYES SOCCER STADIUM GAME NOTES | LIVE STATS | TWITTER THE MATCHES:The Kennesaw State soccer team wraps up tournament play this weekend with a trip to Murfreesboro, Tenn., for the Blue Raider Classic, hosted by Middle Tennessee on Sept. 5-7. The Owls are set to face Austin Peay on Friday (Sept. 5) at 5 p.m. ET, before taking on South Florida on Sunday (Sept. 7) at 2 p.m.

THE OPPONENTS:Austin Peay/South FloridaThe Governors enter the weekend with a 1-3 record and have lost their last two matches, including a 5-0 loss to Alabama and a 2-0 setback to Lipscomb. The one APSU win came against Chattanooga as the Govs won 5-2 on Aug. 24. Merritt Monger leads APSU with two goals. After starting the season off with back-to-back losses, the Bulls come in with a 1-2-1 mark after earning a 1-0 win over Florida Gulf Coast on Sunday and a 1-1 tie with Navy on Friday. USF is led by Demi Stokes and Leticia Skeete, who own the Bulls' only two goals this season.
THE SERIES:Friday's meeting between the Owls and APSU will be the first-ever meeting between the two programs, while USF holds a 1-0-0 record against KSU after registering a 2-0 win over the Owls on Sept. 9, 2012 at the College of Charleston Cup in Mt. Pleasant, S.C.
LAST TIME OUT:The Kennesaw State soccer team earned its first win of the 2014 season with a 2-1 come-from-behind victory over South Alabama on Sunday at the Troy Trojan Classic. Sophomore
Maggie Gaughan scored both goals on Sunday for her second two-goal match of her career. KSU opened the tournament with a 1-0 setback to host Troy on Friday.
NEXT UP:Following two weeks away from the friendly confines of Fifth Third Bank Stadium, the Owls return to Kennesaw to open a three-match homestand, starting with a 7 p.m. ET contest against Furman on Friday, Sept. 12.
NEWS AND NOTES:Two Away From 200Head coach
Rob King is just two wins away from his 200th head coaching win as the veteran coach owns a 198-113-22 record in 19 seasons of coaching. At Kennesaw State, King owns a 155-61-18 record after earning the program's 150th win against Northern Kentucky on Sept. 29, 2012.
Program's 100th Division I WinWith the 2-1 win over USA on Sunday, Kennesaw State registered its 100th Division I win in program history. The program is currently in its 10th season at the Division I level and owns a 100-56-16 mark in that period. The Owls have an all-time program record of 155-61-18 in 13 seasons.
Calder Named Senior CLASS Award CandidateOn Tuesday (Sept. 2), senior
Nicole Calder was named as one of 30 candidates for the 2014 women's soccer Senior CLASS Award. The list is comprised of 30 NCAA Division I seniors who have notable achievements in four areas – community, classroom, character and competition. The candidate class will be narrowed to 10 finalists midway through the regular season, before the winner is announced during the 2014 Women's College Cup in December.
Gaughan Earns First Career A-Sun Player of the Week HonorAfter leading the Owls with a pair of goals against South Alabama, sophomore forward
Maggie Gaughan was named the Atlantic Sun Conference Player of the Week on Tuesday (Sept. 2). It is Gaughan's first career Player of the Week honor and the first for the Owls this season. For the week, the sophomore posted five shots, including three on frame and two goals scored for an efficient effort in front of the net.
Gaughan Leading the OffenseGaughan leads KSU with six points on three goals, equaling her goal total from 2013 in just four matches this season. The Marietta, Ga., native ranks in a tie for second in the Atlantic Sun Conference with three goals on the season and is third in the league with six points.
Sturdivant in the NetSophomore goalkeeper
Olivia Sturdivant saw her first action of the season this past weekend as she played every minute in the Owls' two matches at the Troy Trojan Classic, allowing only two goals and making 10 saves in 180 minutes of work.

2014 A-Sun Coaches PollIn the annual A-Sun Coaches Poll, KSU was picked to finish third, coming in behind regular season champion Florida Gulf Coast and tournament champion Jacksonville.
