KSU will square off against No. 5 Louisville in a best-of-three series with the winner advancing to Omaha, Nebraska, for the College World Series.

First pitch on Friday, June 6, is set for 6:30 p.m. ET and 7 p.m. ET on Saturday. Each of the first two games will be aired live on ESPNU with game three on Sunday if necessary at 6 p.m. ET on ESPN2.
THE COVERAGE:LIVE STATS: Statistical updates will be available from KSUOwls.com at the start of the game.
TELEVISION: ESPNU will have a live broadcast of Friday and Saturday's contest with Sunday's game on ESPN2.

THE OPPONENT:Louisville holds one of the top pitching staffs in the country, holding a team ERA of just 2.78. The Cardinals have six pitchers below a 2.75 ERA with 30 or more innings pitched along with closer Nick Burdi, who holds a 0.54 ERA with 16 saves this season.

LAST OUTING:With a 4-2 win over Alabama on Monday afternoon, the Kennesaw State baseball team punched its ticket to the NCAA Super Regional, the Owls winning their first ever Division I Regional in Tallahassee.
NEWS AND NOTES:40-Win SeasonKSU has won 40 games for the first time in the NCAA Division I era. It is the sixth time the Owls have won 30 or more since joining the DI ranks.

Regional PlayKSU is the first team since Kansas in 1993 to win its first ever Regional and is the first team in six years from the state of Georgia to have made it to a Super Regional.

Pentecost at the PlateMax Pentecost continues his stellar performance at the plate, now coming in at No. 1 in the nation with 110 hits this season. The catcher also held the longest active hit streak in the NCAA at 36 games.
Nationally RankedThe Owls are enjoying their highest national ranking in program h history, coming in at No. 12 in the latest poll from Collegiate Baseball.

KSU OffensivelyWith 661 total hits, KSU arrives at No. 3 in the nation in that category. The .300 team batting average is also good enough for a top 25 ranking as do the 377 runs scored. As a team the Owls have now played 37 games with double-digit team hits including a 20-hit night during the Regional win over Georgia Southern.

Sansing Through the YearsHead coach
Mike Sansing, now in his 23rd season at KSU, has taken the team to an NAIA and NCAA Division II national title. The skipper is now bringing KSU to its first ever Division I Super Regional appearance. Coach Sansing is now the only coach to have taken a team to an NAIA Title, Division II Title and a Division I Super Regional.

Simmons in Regional ActionAssistant coach
Derek Simmons has the unique perspective of having played in, and now coached in a regional. The hitting coach played for Georgia State when the Panthers made it to their first ever tournament appearance and will now coach the Owls as they make theirs.

Winning WaysKSU has now won 26 of its last 27 games, a stretch that included the nation's longest win-streak of 16 games. The Owls have now won their last seven in a row as well.

McCalvin in for the CloseCloser
Justin McCalvin set the new standard for saves in the KSU record book, earning his 16th of the season to set the new single-season high.

Bergen Coming on StrongStarting pitcher
Travis Bergen was named the Tallahassee Regional Most Outstanding Player after picking up a pair of wins during the four games. Bergen has not allowed a run in his last three outings and has allowed just one earned run in his last five.

Postseason RecognitionKSU earned a plethora of postseason awards from the A-Sun including Pentecost becoming the first KSU Player of the Year and All-First Team selection along with McCalvin. Along with the A-Sun awards,
Cornell Nixon,
Brennan Morgan,
Bo Way, Pentecost and Bergen were all named to the Tallahassee Regional All-Tournament Team, Bergen taking home MVP Honors.
