KSU enters as the No. 3 seed in the postseason tourney having won 15 consecutive A-Sun games, a streak that started at Swanson Stadium on April 6.

With a 33-21 overall record and a 17-9 mark in the conference, the Owls will face off against No. 6 East Tennessee State this Wednesday, May 21, at 10 a.m. ET in a rematch of last year's championship match.

LAST OUTING:Matt Bahnick sent his second home run of the season over the left field wall and sent the Kennesaw State baseball team off in style, capping off the 2014 regular season with a win over North Florida, 1-0.

NEXT UP:KSU will play either No. 2 Mercer or No. 7 Stetson in the second round depending on the outcome of game one. A loss puts the Owls on the field Thursday at 10 a.m. ET and a win putting them back in action at 5 p.m. ET.
NEWS AND NOTES:30-Win SeasonKSU has won 30 games for the sixth time in program history since joining the NCAA Division I level. It also marks the second consecutive season that the Owls have reached the 30-win plateau.

Offensive SeasonWith both the 579 hits and .297 team batting average rank at No. 3 in the single-season record books for KSU. The Owls are back in the top 10 in the nation in total hits with 579. KSU also ranks in the top 30 in total runs this season with 331.Â
Double-Digit HitsAs a team the Owls have now played 34 games with double-digit hits including 18 out of the last 20 contests.
Winning WaysThe 16-game win streak for KSU was good enough for a tie for the longest active in the nation at any point this season and is the longest for the Owls since joining the NCAA Division I ranks. The Owls go into the postseason having won 19 of their last 20 outings.

Pentecost at the PlateMax Pentecost continues his stellar performance at the plate, now coming in at No. 1 in the nation with 97 hits this season. The catcher also holds the longest active hit streak in the NCAA at 35 games and counting.

Top AverageThe .422 batting average of Pentecost puts him at first all-time in the single-season KSU record books, besting the .389 of Jacob Robbins from the 2007 season. Pentecost now has 30 games with multi-hit games including 12 with three and two with four and has two or more hits in 11 out of the last 12 games.

Justin McCalvin set the new standard for saves in the KSU record book, earning his 12th of the season vs. North Florida to set a new KSU single-season record.

Jordan Hillyer continue to rank in the top five in the A-Sun in strikeouts, both recording 65 K's this season.
