(April 9, 2014) – The Kennesaw State football program has completed its 2015 schedule, head coach Brian Bohannon announced on Wednesday (Apr. 9). The Owls will face Cumberland University on Oct. 3, 2015 in Lebanon, Tenn.
Kennesaw State will play an 11-game schedule during its inaugural season that includes six home games and five road contests. The Owls' first-ever game is scheduled for Sept. 3, 2015 against East Tennessee State in Johnson City, Tenn.
Cumberland currently competes at the NAIA level as a member of the Mid-South Conference and is awaiting admission by the NCAA Membership Committee to transition to NCAA Division II and join the Great Midwest Athletic Conference. The Bulldogs posted a 7-4 record in 2013.
With the addition of Cumberland, Kennesaw State's five-game non-conference schedule includes East Tennessee State (Sept. 3), Edward Waters (Sept. 12), Paine (Sept. 19) and Point (Oct. 10). East Tennessee State will compete at the NCAA Division I Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) level, while Cumberland and Paine are NCAA Division II members, and Edward Waters and Point compete at the NAIA level.
The Owls' first-ever home game is slated for Sept. 12, 2015, when they host Edward Waters at Fifth Third Bank Stadium. KSU will also host Paine and Point, and play non-conference road games at East Tennessee State and Cumberland.
Kennesaw State, which will be an associate member of the Big South Conference, will open league play on Oct. 17 when it hosts Gardner-Webb. The Owls also will host Monmouth (Oct. 31) and Charleston Southern (Nov. 7) at Fifth Third Bank Stadium.
KSU will play conference road games at Liberty (Oct. 24), Coastal Carolina (Nov. 14) and Presbyterian (Nov. 21).
Less than 800 tickets remain available for purchase and those interested in being a part of history are strongly encouraged to immediately submit of Letter of Intent (LOI) along with a $20 per-seat refundable deposit to become part of the Priority Seat Program. Tickets are only going to be available through season ticket purchases and are priced at $99 per season through 2017.

Fifth Third Bank is the Official Bank of Kennesaw State Athletics. Fifth Third Bank Stadium is the home of women's soccer, women's lacrosse and football, which will play its inaugural season in 2015.
