THE OPPONENT:Lauren Uhr is in her eighth season as head coach of the Gaels.
Saint Mary's won its first game of the season earlier this week beating Presbyterian 21-18.
This season the Gaels have been lead on the offensive end by Krista Morgan who leads the team with 31 points. Morgan has scored 15 goals and has 16 assists. Three other players have scored more than 15 goals on the season.
On the defensive end, Saint Mary's has given up some points. Through 12 games they have allowed 220 goals and the lowest scoring total for their opponents has been 16 twice.
LAST MEETING:This is the first ever meeting against Saint Mary's.
NEXT UP:The Owls will finish the regular season against A-Sun Conference opponent Detroit on Saturday, April 26 at 11 A.M.
Head Coach Kristina Llanes on playing Saint Mary's:"We are looking forward to a single game this weekend as opposed to the back to back game weekends we have had lately. Being able to prepare for a single opponent will allow us to focus on the adjustments we need to make as we come away from our performance against Elon. Our team continues to focus on the confidence necessary to make big plays on defense, in transitions and on attack."
NEWS AND NOTES:» With the Owls 14 goal victory over Howard, the team won its first road game and got its first double-digit victory in the program's short history.
» Freshmen
Olivia Hokanson broke the single-season points and scoring records with her performances against Howard and Elon. She currently has 39 points and 36 goals on the year.

Sydney Farwick each have 31 ground balls averaging 2.82 per game and are ranked 15th in the country.
» The team is ranked 10th nationally in winning draw controls averaging 14.18 a game. The Owls are also 15th in the country in ground balls picked up per game with an average of 18.64.
KSU AS A TEAM » The 10 goals that the team gave up against Howard are the least amount of goals the team has allowed in two seasons.
» KSU is second in the A-Sun in draw controls and ground balls and third in scoring offense and points per game.
» Last season, the team scored 63 goals in 11 games. With two games left in the regular season, the team has already totaled 109 goals and 53 of those are in conference play.

Katherine Ocheda and the Owls defense played very well against Elon and held Elon scoreless for a ten-minute stretch in the first half. Goalie
Peyton Murdock finished the half with five saves and a .714 save percentage.
» On top of being ranked 15th in the country in ground balls per game,
Sydney Farwick is also 23rd in the country in winning draw controls.

Olivia Hokanson leads the conference in goals with 36 on the season and goals per game averaging 3.27 per game.
» Nicholette Hannah saw her first action as an Owl against Howard and made a nice save in the game.
