The Kennesaw State women's basketball team closes out the 2013-14 regular season in Jacksonville, Fla., as the Owls take on the North Florida Ospreys at UNF Arena on Saturday, March 8. Game time is set for 1 p.m. ET and can be seen on A-Sun.TV.

THE OPPONENT:
North Florida
The Ospreys enter Saturday's regular season finale on a 12-game losing streak and has only recorded one conference win, a 78-66 victory over Lipscomb on Jan. 18. With its 71-65 loss to Mercer on Thursday, UNF was eliminated from the A-Sun Championship. The Ospreys are led by Destinee Smith, who is the lone UNF player averaging double figures at 11.1 points per game, while Paulina Zaveckaite grabs 6.5 rebounds per game for UNF. The Ospreys average 18 turnovers per game and are shooting the ball at a 36.6 percentage this season.
THE SERIES:
This will be the 36th all-time meeting between the Owls and the Ospreys, with KSU holding a 20-15 advantage over UNF. In the teams' earlier meeting this season, the Owls earned its first win of the conference slate with a 59-51 victory over the Ospreys behind 21 points and a career-high seven three-pointers from freshman guard

With the loss, the Owls clinched the seventh seed in the upcoming Atlantic Sun Conference Championship and will face the loser of Saturday's contest between Florida Gulf Coast and Stetson in the first round of the tournament on Tuesday, March 11 at 7 p.m. ET.

Junior guard
Kristina Wells became the third player in the KSU Division I record books and the 104th all-time in the Atlantic Sun Conference to reach the 1,000-point plateau after scoring seven points against Mercer last Saturday.

KSU is one of two schools to have a pair of players in the top 10 in scoring in league play with Wells (17.6 ppg) and freshman guard
Deandrea Sawyers (13.6 ppg) ranking second and eighth, respectively.
Young's Hot Hand

Bria Young is averaging 11.5 points per game in the last eight games, including setting a new career high with 18 points and six three-pointers against Lipscomb on Feb. 6.
Doing it All
Wells continues to lead the Owls and ranks in the top seven in the conference in minutes played (third, 35.1 mpg), scoring (fourth, 15.8 ppg), rebounding (fourth, 8.9 rpg), assists (sixth, 3.0 apg), steals (seventh, 1.6 spg) and assist/turnover ratio (seventh, 0.7).
Brooks Coming on Strong
Freshman forward
Gratia Brooks is averaging 10.7 points and 5.7 rebounds in the last three games, including leading the Owls in scoring in the last two games against Mercer and Jacksonville.
Wells in A-Sun
Wells ranks second in the A-Sun in scoring in conference play with 17.6 points per game and sits fourth in the league with 8.9 rebounds per game. She is shooting at a 46 percent clip in conference games, while also ranking fourth in minutes played (35.4) and fifth in assists with 3.6 per game.
Sawyers in Top 10
Sawyers is one of only two freshmen in the A-Sun to rank in the top-11 in scoring in both overall and conference play. Sawyers ranks eighth in league action with 13.6 points per game, while averaging 12.8 points per contest overall, which sits 11th in the conference.
