FARMVILLE, Va. –
Despite two goals from Olivia Hokanson, the Kennesaw State women's lacrosse team dropped its game against St. Francis 13-6 on Sunday, March 30.

"Playing our third game in five days made it tough, and we didn't attack the 50/50 balls the way we needed to today," head coach Kristina Llanes said. "We'll move on and learn from today and turn our attention to conference play."

The Owls battled back in the first half after falling behind 2-0. Haley O'Donoghue scored her fifth goal of the weekend to get KSU on the board. Taylor McGhee and Hokanson would add goals in the first half to tie the game going into the locker room 3-3.

After halftime, the Red Flash would go on a four-goal run before Hokanson netted her second of the day. Less than a minute later, Kyra Fitzgerald scored her second of the season on a free-position shot to bring the Owls within two.

From there, St. Francis would go on another run to extend their lead and close out the game.

Sydney Farwick would lead KSU winning four draw controls and picking up three ground balls. She also scored a goal on the day. Fitzgerald had two ground balls to go along with her one goal.

Hokanson won four draw controls along with picking up two ground balls and causing one turnover.

Peyton Murdock would make eight saves on the afternoon with six of those coming in the second half.

Now the Owls will start to prepare for their next Atlantic Sun matchup against Stetson on Saturday, April 5 at 1 P.M.
