THE GAME
The Owls are traveling to Jacksonville to begin their second season of Atlantic Sun Conference play against the Dolphins on Wednesday, March 26 at 4 P.M. Fans can catch the broadcast on A-Sun TV.

THE OPPONENT:
Mindy McCord is entering her fifth season as the head coach of the women's lacrosse team and has compiled a record of 50-26 in her first four years with the Dolphins.
 
The defending A-Sun Champions record is 5-4 against some tough competition including Syracuse, Florida and Duke.
 
The Dolphins have a very potent offense that has scored 123 goals this season with four players having more than 12 goals.
 
JU is second in the conference allowing 13.33 goals per game.
 
LAST MEETING:
Kennesaw State faced Jacksonville in the semi-finals of the A-Sun tournament and the Dolphins won the game 23-3.
 
NEXT UP
This weekend the team will be in Farmville, Va. to play Longwood on Friday and Saint Francis on Sunday.
 
Head Coach Kristina Llanes on playing Jacksonville:
"It is exciting to open up conference play with Jacksonville University. They are going to be tough competition, but we see it as another opportunity for our program to grow. We will continue to stay focused on the process of building and the small but very important parts of the game."
 
NEWS AND NOTES:
» Freshmen Olivia Hokanson and Taylor McGhee swept A-Sun Conference awards for the team's strong play against Presbyterian. Hokanson totaled six goals on six shots and McGhee scored a goal, won nine draws and picked up four ground balls. 
 
» With her six-goal game, Hokanson has 15 points on the year. Her average of 3.00 points per game is second in the Atlantic Sun Conference.
 
» When the Owls shoot they make it count. They are leading the conference in shot percentage with an average of .559. as they have scored 38 goals on 68 shots.
 
KSU AS A TEAM                                    
» KSU is second in the A-Sun in picking up ground balls. The team is averaging 18.20 per game after picking up 91 in five games.
 
» Behind a nine-draw control performance from McGhee, the Owls are third in the A-Sun in draw controls winning 10.8 per game.
 
» There are fourteen newcomers on the roster this season and they have made an impact on the team early in the season. All fourteen have seen significant time and have accounted for 66 percent of the points.
 
KSU INDIVIDUALLY                                
» McGhee set a Kennesaw State record against Presbyterian when she won nine draw controls. She also set a career high picking up four ground balls.
 
» Freshman goalie Peyton Murdock had a career high in saves against Presbyterian with 11 and a save percentage of .423. 
 
» Hokanson is second in the conference averaging 2.80 goals a contest after her six-goal performance against Presbyterian. She is also tied for first in the conference averaging one free-position goal per game with five on the season. 
 
» Senior Emily Collins is tied for second in the conference in ground balls picking up three a game.
