KENNESAW, Ga. (February 6, 2014) – The Kennesaw State football program completed its inaugural 2015 home schedule with the addition of non-conference opponents Edward Waters College and Point University to its slate of contests at Fifth Third Bank Stadium, head coach Brian Bohannon announced on Thursday (Feb. 6).
With the two latest additions, Kennesaw State has 10 of its 11 games finalized for the 2015 season.
The Owls will host Edwards Waters College in their inaugural home game on Saturday, Sept. 12. Kennesaw State will welcome Paine College to Fifth Third Bank Stadium on Saturday, Sept. 19, and will entertain Point University on Saturday, Oct. 10.
Located in Jacksonville, Fla., Edward Waters College competes at the NAIA level and is a member of the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference. Playing as an NAIA independent, Point University is located in West Point, Ga.
Kennesaw State will open Big South Conference play at home when it hosts Gardner-Webb on Saturday, Oct. 17. The Owls also will receive visits from Monmouth (Oct. 31) and Charleston Southern (Nov. 7).
Kennesaw State will play its inaugural game on the road against non-conference foe East Tennessee State at Kermit Tipton Stadium, Steve Spurrier Field on Thursday, Sept. 3, at 7:30 p.m. (ET). The Owls' six-game Big South Conference schedule was announced on Jan. 7.
Prior to any home opponent being announced, Kennesaw State had already surpassed 2,000 season ticket deposits and is nearing the 2,500 mark, representing two-thirds of available tickets at Fifth Third Bank Stadium. While the stadium has a seating capacity of 8,300, only 3,600 tickets will be sold to the public and only available through season ticket purchases.
Season ticket deposits are received through the Letter-of-Intent Program (LOI) and is a formal request requiring a deposit to enter into the Priority Seating Program which uses points to fairly distribute priority when selecting seat locations among donors. All seats will be $99 for the season plus a donation to The Owls Fund.
More information on the Priority Points Program is available at
www.KennesawStateFootball.com. Fans can talk to a ticket representative and submit their LOI by calling the KSU Athletics Ticket Office at 770-423-OWLS (6957).
