CONWAY, S.C. –
Despite two goals each from freshman Sydney Farwick and Haley O'Donoghue, the Kennesaw State lacrosse team lost to Coastal Carolina 19-7 on Saturday, February 22.

"We gave Coastal Carolina too many opportunities to produce goals off of unforced errors," head coach Kristina Llanes said. "Our middies had a great day though, and were able to gain experience on both ends. We will go into this week of practice focusing on creating more scoring options."

In only her second career game, Syd Farwick finished with two goals, two assists and three draw controls.

O'Donoghue and Samantha Farwick also scored their first collegiate goals in the match. O'Donoghue scored two times and Farwick added one goal along with one ground ball and two draw controls.

Olivia Hokanson continued her hot start to the season as she put another one in the back of the net. Hokanson also had an assist and ground ball in the game.

Senior Emily Collins scored for the second time this season while also picking up two ground balls, one draw control and caused a turnover.

Peyton Murdock got the start in goal and ended the game with 11 saves and picked up three ground balls.
