THE GAME:
The Kennesaw State women's basketball team continues its three-game home stand with Breast Cancer Awareness Day and Alumni Day on Saturday, Feb. 22 as the Owls look to "Pink Out" USC Upstate at the KSU Convocation Center, with fans encouraged to wear pink to the contest. Game time is set for 2 p.m. ET and can be seen on the ESPN3 network.

THE OPPONENT:
USC Upstate
Despite dropping a 79-71 game against Mercer on Thursday night, the Spartans have clinched a berth in the Atlantic Sun Championship and sit in tie for fourth place at 7-6. After winning five-straight earlier this year, Upstate has lost three of its last four contests and owns a 12-12 overall record on the season. Away from Spartanburg, they are 6-8, including taking three of their last four road games. The Spartans have two players registering double figures in Brittany Clency and Brittany Starling, who averages 11.2 and 10.3 points, respectively. Starling also leads the team with 7.6 rebounds per contest.
THE SERIES:
This will be the 31st all-time meeting between the Owls and the Spartans, with KSU holding a 20-10 advantage over Upstate. In the teams' earlier meeting this season, the Spartans earned a 72-64 win over the Owls in Spartanburg, S.C. at the G.B. Hodge Center on Jan. 25. Freshman guard

LAST TIME OUT:
Despite a valiant second-half comeback, the Kennesaw State women's basketball team dropped a 63-60 heartbreaker to East Tennessee State on Thursday night (Feb. 20) at the KSU Convocation Center. Junior guard
Kristina Wells led the Owls with a team-high 23 points, including 20 second-half points, to go along with seven rebounds and five assists.

Deandrea Sawyers (14.6 ppg) ranking second and fifth, respectively.
Young's Hot Hand
Junior guard
Bria Young is averaging 13 points per game in the last five games, including setting a new career high with 18 points and six three-pointers against Lipscomb on Feb. 6.
Leading the Way
Wells continues to lead the Owls and ranks in the top six in the conference in scoring (second, 18.7 ppg), minutes played (third, 35.6 mpg), rebounding (fourth, 9.0 rpg), assists (sixth, 3.1 apg), assist/turnover ratio (sixth, 0.7) and steals (sixth, 1.7 spg).
Three-Pointers
Sawyers has lit up from behind the arc, ranking second in the A-Sun and 104th in the country with 2.2 three-pointers per game. She has drained 56 three so far this season, which ranks third in program history for three-point field goals made in a season.

In league play, Sawyers ranks fifth in scoring with 14.6 points per contest, while leading the A-Sun with 39 three-pointers and three three-pointers per game.
