» Facing Tennessee State on the road gives the Owls a chance to get its second non-conference win on the road. The win at Youngstown State was their sixth non-conference road win since making the jump to NCAA Division I. KSU has beaten Chattanooga twice, South Carolina State in 2012-13, Colgate in 2008-09 and Gardner Webb in 2007-08.
THE COMPETITIONTennessee State At 2-12 on the season, Tennessee State hasn't won since beating Fisk 75-60 on November 20. During the 11 game losing skid, the Tigers have failed to reach 60 points. Jay Harris is the leader on the offensive end and Demontez Loman is the leader on the defensive end. Dana Ford is in his first season as head coach at Tennessee State.

Damien Wilson came off the bench against Illinois and provided a spark of energy for the Owls. He finished the game with his first double-double in a Kennesaw State uniform scoring 10 points and having 11 rebounds with six of those coming on the offensive end.

Delbert Love has played the most minutes ever in a Kennesaw State basketball uniform. In his career he has played in 3,465 minutes. He has played in the fourth most games ever at 104.

Nigel Pruitt set a new career high with 29 points at Youngstown State hitting six threes to tie a Kennesaw State record. At one point in the first half he scored 14 straight points for the Owls. In the next game against UMBC, Pruitt picked the Owls up on the offensive end again, scoring 11 straight points at one point in the first half. Earlier in the season, Pruitt earned 2K Classic All-Tournament Team honors after going off for 20 points against North Dakota State followed by 11 against Alcorn State.

Yonel Brown leads the team in scoring, averaging 13.1 points per game. He has scored in double figures for the Owls in 11 of the 14 games and has been the leading scorer in six of those.
» With Brown making 87.5 percent of his free throws he leads the A-Sun in that category as well as in minutes played averaging 36.8 per contest.
