MBB: Damien Wilson Granted Immediate Eligibility for 2014-15 Season

Forward will make his debut at Syracuse November, 14

KENNESAW, Ga. – Kennesaw State forward Damien Wilson was awarded an NCAA Legislative Relief Waiver the NCAA Division I Subcommittee for Legislative Relief announced on Wednesday (Oct. 8).

Wilson, who transferred from Memphis in August will be immediately eligible to play for the Owls in the upcoming 2014-2015 season.  Wilson is a junior and will have two seasons of eligibility remaining. The 6-foot-7 forward comes to KSU after playing in 43 games over two seasons for the Tigers.
 
"I am really excited about the NCAA granting Damien an opportunity to play immediately," head coach Jimmy Lallathin said.  "Damien is going to impact our team in a number of positive ways with his ability to score and defend. His length and athleticism adds another dimension to our team. We are really excited about it and are looking forward to big things from Damien this year."

The Owls open the upcoming season at Syracuse on Friday, Nov. 14 at 7 p.m. (ET). KSU opens the home portion of its schedule verasus Samford at the KSU Convocation Center on Wednesday, Nov. 26 at 2 p.m. (ET).
