THE GAME:
The Kennesaw State men's basketball team remains at home this Saturday, Jan. 25 as the Owls host 2012-13 Sweet 16 and Atlantic Sun Conference foe Florida Gulf Coast University at noon ET in the Convocation Center.

Both teams look to avenge losses in their last outing, KSU sitting at 4-17 overall and 1-7 in the A-Sun and the Eagles landing at 12-9 on the year and 6-2 in the league standings.

The game will also serve as
Sci-Fi Day, where fans can meet and greet with some of their favorite science fiction characters with the first 400 through the doors receiving free light swords.

At halftime, Norman the Scooter Riding Dog will perform and one lucky student will have the chance to win $1,000, compliments of the Georgia Lottery's Dollars for Scholars program.

A-Sun power FGCU arrives at the Convocation Center after dropping a tight contest at Mercer on Thursday night. Brett Comer comes in as the league's top point guard, holding 106 total assists and has dished out 10 or more in the team's last two games. Bernard Thompson leads the scoring with 289 points.

LAST OUTING
It was a heartbreaking loss for the Kennesaw State men's basketball team at home on Thursday night as the Owls fell to Stetson 68-65 in Atlantic Sun Conference action.

A Myles Hamilton three-point attempt to tie up the game at 68 with just four seconds left on the clock fell just short, ending the game in favor of the Hatters as the Owls move to 4-17 on the year and 1-7 in the league standings.
NEXT UP:
It's back on the road for KSU after the meeting with FGCU as the Owls head to USC Upstate on Jan. 30, kicking off the second half of A-Sun competition.

Love Closing in on 1,000
Delbert Love is closing in on his 1,000th career point, currently holding strong at 983.

In its last five games alone, KSU is shooting at a 49 percent success rate from the field with Love averaging 15 points during that stretch as well.

Kouassi's Blocks
Willy Kouassi picked up four blocks during the Owls' last outing, his fifth multiple block game, giving the sophomore center 20 for the season.

Coleman's Consistent Play
Newcomer
Orlando Coleman continues to lead the Owls on the boards, averaging a team-high 6.5 per contest, good enough for a top 10 rank in the A-Sun.

Pruitt on the Line
With a 27-for-33 margin, sophomore
Nigel Pruitt leads the Owls in free-throw shooting with an 82 percent success rate from the line.

Longevity
Both Love and Coleman have now put in over 500 minutes of playing time this season, Love tops with 622 and Coleman right behind at 542.
