The Kennesaw State women's basketball team continues its two-game conference road swing, traveling to Highland Heights, Ky., for a 7 p.m. ET game on Saturday, Jan. 11 against Northern Kentucky at The Bank of Kentucky Center.

THE OPPONENT:
Northern Kentucky
The Norse enter Saturday's contest with an unblemished 3-0 mark in Atlantic Sun Conference play with wins over USC Upstate, East Tennessee State and most recently, a 72-61 victory over Mercer. NKU owns a 3-3 record at the Bank of Kentucky Center and are led by Melody Doss with a league-leading 18.4 points per game, 8.1 rebounds per contest and 25 blocks in 14 games. Kayla Thacker adds 12.2 points per game for the Norse.
THE SERIES:
This will be the third all-time meeting the Owls and the Norse, with NKU holding a 2-0 advantage over KSU after taking both contests a season ago. In the teams' last meeting, the Owls fell 55-49 on Feb. 25 at the KSU Convocation Center as then-senior
Sametria Gideon led KSU with 13 points and eight rebounds on Senior Night 2013.

Kristina Wells as she posted a triple-double with 18 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists, leading the Kennesaw State women's basketball team to an important 82-78 conference road win over Lipscomb on Thursday night (Jan. 9) at Allen Arena.
NEXT UP:
The Owls return to the friendly confines of the KSU Convocation Center for a date with 2013 A-Sun regular season champion Florida Gulf Coast on Thursday, Jan. 16. Tip is set for 7 p.m. ET and can be seen on ESPN3.

Back-to-Back Wins
The Owls won back-to-back games for the first time since defeating Jacksonville and North Florida a season ago and earned their first league road win since beating Lipscomb on Jan. 28, 2013.
Wells Registers First-Ever Triple-Double
After threatening for most of the season, junior guard
Kristina Wells registered the first triple-double in program history since KSU moved to Division I with 18 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists at Lipscomb.
Owls Set Three-Point Record
With 12 three-pointers at Lipscomb on Thursday, the Owls tied the most three-pointers made in a game in program history. KSU first netted 12 treys a season ago against Davidson on Nov. 18, 2012.
Handing out the Helpers
KSU continued its record-breaking against the Bisons with a program-high 22 assists on Thursday night.
Offensive Rebounds
The Owls continue to be a strong offensive rebounding team, ranking third in the Atlantic Sun Conference in offensive rebounding percentage (.356) and fourth in offensive rebounds with 191 total offensive rebounds for an average of 13.6 per game.
On the Defensive Glass
Defensively, KSU ranks second in rebounding defense and is holding teams to 38.0 rebounds per contest, while holding a +0.2 rebounding margin, which sits fourth in the conference.
Sawyers From Beyond the Arc
Freshman guard
Deandrea Sawyers continued her hot shooting from behind the arc with her second-consecutive game with seven made three-pointers, which ties the second-most treys made in a game for a KSU player in program history. Former Owl
Ashley Holliday owns the record with nine treys against Mercer on Jan. 26, 2011. Her seven threes also tie the most treys an A-Sun player has made in a game this season.
Wells in the A-Sun
Wells owns the only triple double in the A-Sun this season and the second-most double-doubles in the league with seven on the season. Her eight 10-rebound games are the third-most in the conference.
20-Point Games
Sawyers owns five 20-point games in her rookie campaign, which sits as third-most in the A-Sun.
Wells the Leader
Wells continues to lead the Owls and ranks in the top five in the conference in, rebounding (9.0 rpg), assists (2.9) and minutes played (35.1 mpg). Her 1.7 steals per game also rank sixth in the A-Sun, while her 13.9 points per contest sits eighth in the league.
Young Heating Up
Junior guard
Bria Young has scored in double figures in four-consecutive games and five of the last six contests. She is averaging 11 points in the last four games, while pouring in a season-high 12 points against Georgia, Jacksonville and Lipscomb.
