Theodor Notches Singles Win as Owls Falter Against East Carolina, 6-1

MARIETTA, Ga. – Sophomore Louis Theodor earned his first singles win of the season as the Kennesaw State men’s tennis team dropped its match against East Carolina, 6-1, on Sunday at the Fair Oaks Tennis Center.
 
KSU falls to 2-7 on the season, while the Pirates improve to 10-1 in 2013.
 
Theodor posted a 6-2, 6-2 win over Damien Brenard at No. 4 singles to secure KSU’s lone point of the match.
 
Sophomore Alexander Pena took his match on court five to three sets, before falling to Mario Martinez, 6-4, 4-6, 6-2.
 
Kennesaw State next opens A-Sun Conference action as the Owls head to Jacksonville, Fla., for a match against North Florida on Thursday, March 14 at 2 p.m. (ET). KSU was orininally scheduled to host Austin Peay on Monday, March 11 at the Fair Oaks Tennis Center in Marietta, Ga., but the match has been cancelled due to rain in the forecast and will not be made up.
