MATCH NOTES
KENNESAW, Ga. – The Kennesaw State men’s team returns to the Fair Oaks Tennis Center in Marietta, Ga., for a 2 p.m. (ET) match against Presbyterian on Saturday, Feb. 23.
“We are facing a Presbyterian team that is going to be looking for revenge after we beat them at their place last year,” said Head Coach T.J. Greggs. “They have all of their key players back from a year ago, so this should be a good test.”
The Owls (2-3, 0-0 Atlantic Sun) earned its first two wins of the season last Saturday, Feb. 16, posting a 7-0 rout of Alabama A&M, before handing Alabama State a 6-1 later in the day. KSU then dropped a 6-1 decision at UAB on Sunday, Feb. 17.

Tobi Menhofer and
Maksim Yorsh each tallied singles wins in Saturday’s matches. The tandems of Menhofer and sophomore
Louis Theodor, Pena and Ozdemir and sophomore
Matthew Johnson and Yorsh went 2-0 in doubles play.
With the wins, Menhofer and Theodor improved to 4-1 at No. 1 doubles.
On Sunday, Ozdemir pushed his weekend singles record to 3-0 with a 6-1, 6-4 defeat of UAB’s Lucas Dirube at No. 4 singles for the Owls. It was his third singles victory of the season.
Presbyterian (6-6, 1-0 Big South) enters the match coming off of a pair 5-2 of wins over Longwood on Feb. 18 and South Carolina State on Feb. 20. Gonzalo Asis and Danny Bruce each own a 7-3 record for the Blue Hose, both playing at various spots in the lineup. In doubles action, Andrew Brigham and Williams O’Connell are 5-2 on the season, including a 4-2 mark at No. 2 doubles.
Kennesaw State next returns home for a match against Austin Peay on Friday, March 1 at the Fair Oaks Tennis Center in Marietta, Ga. The match is set to begin at 2 p.m.
