MBB: Owls Set to Make Assembly Hall Debut

KSU Takes on Indiana Sunday at Noon

THE GAME:
The Kennesaw State men's basketball team wraps-up the non-conference portion of its 2013-14 schedule as the Owls flock to historic Assembly Hall in Bloomington, Ind. to take on the Hoosiers of Indiana this Sunday at noon ET.
 
KSU, now 3-9 on the year, makes its last appearance before breaking for the holiday and starting off Atlantic Sun Conference play on Dec. 30 while the Hoosiers look to better their 9-3 record and remain perfect on their home court.

THE OPPONENT:
Indiana
The Hoosiers of Indiana hold an impressive 8-0 record on their home floor this season, making trips to Assembly Hall a difficult one for opponents. Guard Kevin Ferrell leads the team in scoring with 16.1 points per game along with 3.7 assists. Noah Vonleh is tops on the boards with his 9.6 per outing.

LAST OUTING
A hot end to the first half and a four-point play to start the second wasn't enough to give the Kennesaw State men's basketball team the momentum it needed as the Owls fell to Georgia Southern on Wednesday night, 73-55.

NEXT UP:
After the trip to Indiana the Owls will be taking to Jacksonville, Fla. for a pair of Atlantic Sun Conference opening games against North Florida and Jacksonville on Dec. 30 and Jan. 1.

NEWS AND NOTES:
Stealing the Show
With 129 total steals this season the Owls rank No. 1 in the conference in that category, averaging 6.6 takeaways per game.

Sharpshooting
Kennesaw State ranks in the top 100 in the nation in three-pointers made, coming in at No. 86 overall with 72 triples this season. The Owls are also shooting at a 33 percent success rate from beyond the perimeter.
 
Ball Control
The Owls are now 3-0 on the season when committing fewer turnovers than their opponents. On the flip side, KSU is 0-8 when turning the ball over more than the opposition.
 
Starting Five
After starting the same five players for the first 10 games of the season, KSU has shaken up the starting lineup in the last two games with a new starting five against Georgia Tech and Georgia Southern.
 
Love Leads the Way
Junior Delbert Love continues to lead the squad in scoring, putting in 125 points, or 10.4 per game, and is now just 124 points shy of reaching the 1,000 plateau for his career. While leading with his 24 three-pointers made, Love has made a three in each of the last five games for KSU and has  put in a three in all but two games.
 
Kouassi's Blocks
Willy Kouassi  now has three games with three blocks after swatting three at Georgia Tech. The 6-10 sophmore now has a team-leading 12 blocks on the year.
 
Morena Reaching 100
Bernard Morena is on the verge of reaching the 100th point of his career, sitting at 98.
 
Coleman's Impact
Newcomer Orlando Coleman has made an immediate impact on the team this season, averaging nearly a double-double with 10.3 points per game and 6.8 rebounds. Coleman is currently leading the team in boards with his 82.
