The Kennesaw State men's basketball team returns to the court after a 15-day hiatus this Monday, Dec. 16 as the Owls head south for a meeting with crosstown foe Georgia Tech at 7 p.m. ET in McCamish Pavilion.

The Yellow Jackets arrive as one of the best defending teams in the country, holding opponents to just a 38 percent success rate from the field while bringing in eight more rebounds per game on average than their opponents. Robert Carter Jr. leads the way with his 93 total rebounds.

A career-high 16 points from forward
Bernard Morena wasn't enough to move the Kennesaw State men's basketball team past the Golden Flashes as the Owls took a 68-51 loss at Kent State University on Sunday, Dec. 1.
NEXT UP:
Kennesaw State returns to the court for the first time in over two weeks as the Owls take on a pair of in-state rivals on the road this week in Georgia Tech and Georgia Southern. Following the two games in Georgia, KSU will head north to Bloomington, Ind. to take on the highly ranked Hoosiers in Assembly Hall on Dec. 22 at noon ET.

Three-Point Success
With 72 total three-pointers made this season, KSU ranks third in the A-Sun and 50th in the nation in that category. The Owls also come in at No. 31 nationally in three-pointers attempted with 214.
Defense
The Owls continue to be one of the top defending teams in the league, holding their opponents to just 69.5 points per game, just three-tenths of a point on average behind A-Sun leading Florida Gulf Coast.
On the Boards
Along with the stout defense, KSU is also crashing the defensive boards well this season, bringing in an average of 12.3 offensive rebounds per game.

The Owls are now 3-0 this season when committing fewer turnovers than their opponents and are 0-7 when giving the ball up more.
Stealing the Show
KSU has now come away with 66 total steals this season and is averaging 6.6 per game, putting KSU at No. 1 in the conference in that category.

Love Regains the Lead
Junior guard
Delbert Love reclaimed the team lead in points with 108 after putting in 16 at Kent State, taking back the scoring title from sophomore
Orlando Coleman.
Coleman's Rebounds
With 6.7 rebounds per game,
Orlando Coleman currently ranks sixth in the A-Sun and first on the team in that category this season. Coleman's 27 offensive rebounds is good enough for second in the A-Sun as well.

Guard
Yonel Brown leads the way for the Owls with 28 assists, dishing out 2.8 per game, to go with his 10 steals.

Pruitt from the Stripe
Nigel Pruitt is tops on the squad in free throw percentage, putting in 12 of his 14 attempts for an 86 percent success rate from the charity stripe.
