KSU Looks to Topple Undefeated Bearcats

THE GAME:
The Kennesaw State men's basketball team begins its seven-game road trek this Friday, Nov. 29 as the Owls head to Cincinnati to take on the undefeated Bearcats, the first of two games in the Buckeye State for KSU in the next week.
 
Now 3-5 on the year after a decisive victory over Truett-McConnell College this past Tuesday, the Owls will look to take down the 5-0 Bearcats of the American Athletic Conference in Fifth Third Arena in an ESPN3 featured matchup.

THE OPPONENT:
Cincinnati
The 5-0 Bearcats are set to play their sixth straight home game at Fifth Third Arena when the Owls come into town on Friday afternoon. Guard Sean Kilpatrick leads the team in scoring with nearly 20 points per game while Justin Jackson has been a force in the paint, holding 38 total rebounds with 19 blocks, one of the top shot blockers in the nation.

LAST OUTING
With a 21-point effort from sophomore Orlando Coleman, the Kennesaw State men's basketball team cruised past Truett-McConnell College, 73-54, in the KSU Convocation Center on Tuesday night, capping off a two-game home stand for the Owls before the team begins a seven-game road trip.

NEXT UP:
After Friday's contest against the Bearcats, the Owls will travel further north to take on Kent State on Sunday at 2 p.m. ET. Following the two games in Ohio, the Owls will break for over a week before facing off against cross-town rival Georgia Tech on Dec. 16 in downtown Atlanta.

NEWS AND NOTES:
KSU Nationally
KSU is currently 22nd in the nation in total three-pointers made with 58 and 29th in total assists with 103.

Homecoming
The Owls head to Ohio in what will be a homecoming for five members of the team who are natives of the Buckeye State.

Coleman Takes Over
Sophomore Orlando Coleman has taken over the team lead in points after putting in 21 against Truett-McConnell, putting him in the top spot in both points rebounds with 55 so far this season.
 
Kouassi's Blocks
Willy Kouassi continues to be a leading defender for the Owls, swatting down three shots during the team's last outing, giving the sophomore a team-best eight blocks.
 
On the Road Again
KSU's seven-game road trip will have the Owls traveling to some of the toughest competition in the country with three of the seven teams ranked nationally.

Love Honing in on 1,000
Delbert Love is closing in on a career milestone of 1,000 points scored, sitting currently at 835 during his junior season of action at Kennesaw State.
