THE GAME:
Kennesaw State returns to the friendly confines of the KSU Convocation Center for one of the marquee games of the non-conference schedule as KSU battles Southeastern Conference foe Florida on Sunday, Nov. 17 at 2 p.m. (ET). The contest will also be broadcast on ESPN3.com.

THE PROMOTIONS:
With the Gators coming to the KSU Convocation Center, Kennesaw State will be looking to break the attendance record for a women's basketball game. The first 500 fans in attendance at Sunday's contest will also receive a free Shane Co. drawstring bag. Sunday will also be Girl Scout Night and Camper Reunion Night, as well as a Dollars for Student Georgia Lottery drawing during the contest.
THE OPPONENT:
Florida
The Gators (2-1) are coming off of a 71-59 loss to Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Va., on Thursday. FU opened the season with wins over Bethune-Cookman (93-65) and A-Sun member North Florida (88-77). The Gators are led by Jaterra Bonds, who averages 18.7 points and 7.0 rebounds per game. Lily Svete (13.0 ppg) and Kayla Lewis, a Decatur, Ga., native (10.3 ppg, 7.7 rpg) are also impact players for Florida.
THE SERIES:
This will be the first-ever meeting between the Owls and the Gators.
LAST TIME OUT:
Kennesaw State suffered an 84-58 setback to Gardner-Webb at Paul Porter Arena on Thursday night (Nov. 14). A trio of juniors led the Owls against GWU, as guard
Ty-Nita Baker scored a game-high 16 points, while guard
Kristina Wells recorded KSU's first double-double of the year with 12 points and 11 rebounds. Forward
Valescia Dixon added 14 points, including 10 in the second half, and seven rebounds.

Getting on the Glass
The Owls rank second in the league in offensive rebound percentage at .368 and have second-most offensive rebounds in the A-Sun with 43. KSU also ranks third in three-pointers made with 19 three's in three games for an average of 6.3 per game.
Baker Leading the Way
Junior Guard
Ty-Nita Baker leads the Owls in scoring and ranks third in the A-Sun with a 21.0 average and has scored the most points out of any conference players this season with 63 total points. Baker scored a season-high 24 points in a 70-68 win over Tennessee State.
Wells on the Boards
One of the top returners in the Atlantic Sun Conference, junior guard
Kristina Wells, owns an average of 8.0 rebounds per game to rank seventh in the A-Sun in rebounding. Wells has totaled 24 rebounds this season, including a game-high 11 rebounds on Thursday against Gardner-Webb.
Dixon on the Mark
With a field goal percentage of 52.6, junior forward
Valescia Dixon leads the Owls in field goal percentage and ranks seventh in the conference. Dixon has made 10-of-19 shots in her first three contest as an Owl, including a season-high 7-for-14 effort for 14 points against Gardner-Webb.
Owls on TV
This season the Owls will play a total of 13 games on the ESPN3 network, including 10 at the KSU Convocation Center, and one on CSS, the most televised games in program history. KSU will have its ESPN3 debut next Sunday, Nov. 17, when the Owls host Florida at 2 p.m. (ET).
Perry's Second Season
Head coach
Nitra Perry begins her second season at the helm of KSU women's basketball after her head coaching debut a year ago. Perry earned her first win as a head coach on Nov. 21, 2012 with a 72-65 win over Troy in Kennesaw.
Home Opener Wins
With their win over Tennessee State last Monday night, the Owls have won back-to-back home openers after defeating Troy and giving Perry her first win as a head coach last season.
