The Kennesaw State women's basketball heads on the road for a midweek game against the Runnin' Bulldogs of Gardner-Webb on Thursday, Nov. 14. Tip is set for 7 p.m. (ET) at Paul Porter Arena in Boiling Springs, N.C.

The Runnin' Bulldogs, who are receiving votes in the College Mid-Major poll, opened the 2013-14 season with back-to-back wins over Montreat (86-46) and UNC Greensboro (71-60). GWU is led by Catrina Green, who averages just under a double-double at 16 points per game and 9.5 rebounds per game. It their win over UNCG, the Bulldogs got 22 points and 12 rebounds from Green to the victory on Monday night.
THE SERIES:
This will be the fifth meeting between the Runnin' Bulldogs and the Owls. The all-time series is tied at 2-2, with GWU taking a 68-59 win in last season's meeting on Dec. 28, 2012 in Kennesaw, Ga.
LAST TIME OUT:

Kristina Wells made a pair of free throws with 0.5 seconds left in regulation to lift the Kennesaw State women's basketball team to a 70-68 win over Tennessee State for the Owls' first win of the season on Monday, Nov. 11 at the KSU Convocation Center. Junior guard
Ty-Nita Baker continued her strong play with a team-high 24 points to go along with eight rebounds and six assists, while freshman forward
Aareon Smith added 11 points for the Owls.

The Owls return to the friendly confines of the KSU Convocation Center for one of the marque games of the non-conference slate as KSU battles Southeastern Conference foe Florida on Sunday, Nov. 17 at 2 p.m. (ET). The contest will also be broadcast on

Bakers Takes Control
Junior Guard
Ty-Nita Baker, a talented transfer from Itawamba Community College, leads the Owls in several categories, including scoring with a 23.5 average through the first two games of the season. Baker also owns a team-high 14 rebounds, eight assists and seven three-pointers in 76 minutes this season.
Wells the Leader
One of the top returners in the Atlantic Sun Conference, junior guard
Kristina Wells, ranked in the top 15 in the league in scoring, rebounding, assists, free throw percentage, offensive and defensive rebounds, as well as ranking fourth in minutes played and ninth in steals a season ago. She led KSU with 46 steals and ranked second on the team with 10.7 points per game and 57 assists.
Owls on TV
This season the Owls will play a total of 13 games on the ESPN3 network, including 10 at the KSU Convocation Center, and one on CSS, the most televised games in program history. KSU will have its ESPN3 debut next Sunday, Nov. 17, when the Owls host Florida at 2 p.m. (ET).
Perry's Second Season
Head coach Nitra Perry begins her second season at the helm of KSU women's basketball after her head coaching debut a year ago. Perry earned her first win as a head coach on Nov. 21, 2012 with a 72-65 win over Troy in Kennesaw.
Home Opener Wins
With their win over Tennessee State on Monday night, the Owls have won back-to-back home openers after defeating Troy and giving Perry her first win as a head coach.
