THE MATCH:
The Kennesaw State volleyball team returns to the court this weekend for just one match, facing off against in-state rival Mercer on Saturday, Oct. 19 for a 3 p.m. ET game.

THE OPPONENT:
Mercer
Mercer enters the Saturday afternoon match struggling so far in 2013, holding just a 1-18 overall record and a winless 0-9 mark in the Atlantic Sun Conference. The Bears do, however, hold a 7-1 all-time record over KSU. Mercer is sitting at the bottom of most statistical categories in the league accept for digs, where they rank fourth in the A-Sun with 981 total.
Last Meeting: Mercer won, 3-0, on Nov. 8, 2012
NEXT UP:
The Owls will remain on the road with a match this Tuesday, Oct. 22 at USC Upstate to start the second round of conference play.

Top Freshman
Freshman outside hitter
Kelly Marcinek currently leads the team with 231 kills, putting her tops in the Atlantic Sun Conference in kills for a freshman and in eighth overall.
Pedraza on Defense
Libero
Camille Pedraza now ranks third in the A-Sun standings with 308 total digs, giving the senior a 4.31 digs per set average.
Metroka's Assists
Senior setter
Sara Metroka has surpassed the 600 assists mark on the year, now holding 588 on the year, giving her 3,898 for her record-setting career.
Blocks
The trio of #Toure Hopkins,
Cierra Royster and
Megan McGuinness has been a force at the net, putting up 125 combined blocks in six matches.
