KENNESAW, Ga.
– The Kennesaw State soccer team continues its road swing this weekend, traveling to Charleston, S.C. for the 2012 College of Charleston Classic.  The Owls will first face off against Ohio Valley Conference foe Eastern Kentucky on Friday, Sept. 7 at 5 p.m. ET. KSU then battles Big East Conference opponent South Florida on Sunday, Sept. 9 at Noon.  Both matches will be played at Patriots Point Complex.

Live stats will be available for both matches via ksuowls.com, as well as a live blog of both contests.

KSU (2-3-0) entered last weekend having only beaten a Southeastern Conference opponent once in program history, but that all changed on Sunday night as sophomore Iyani Hughes (Chelsea, Ala./Chelsea HS) scored the game-winning goal with less than four minutes remaining in the match to defeat Arkansas 1-0 at Razorback Field.  Earlier in the weekend, the Owls fell to No. 21 Tennessee after battling for 90 minutes on Friday night at KSU Stadium.

Eastern Kentucky (2-2-1) is coming off a 1-1 tied against Wright State after starting the season with two-straight wins against UNC Asheville and Robert Morris.  The Colonels are 0-2 on the road, but have yet to play at a neutral-site location.

EKU has eight letter winners returning, including two starters, from a team that placed second in the OVC in 2011 and welcomes in nine newcomers to the squad.  The Colonels are led offensively by Nikki Donnelly with three points on a goal and an assist. Between the posts for EKU is Erika Wolfer, who owns a 1.14 goals-against average while allowing six goals in 472 minutes. She has made 22 saves on the year and has tallied one shutout.

South Florida (2-3-0) is coming off of two-consecutive losses after tallying quality wins over Miami and Indiana earlier in the season.   The Bulls have also competed against a National Soccer Coaches Association of America top-25 team, opening the season with a 3-1 loss against No. 12 Central Florida.

Sharla Passariello paces the USF offense with nine points on four goals and an assist, while Christiane Endler is in goal for the Bulls and has played all 450 minutes for USF.  She owns a 1.40 goals-against average and has 22 saves on the season.  Endler has also tallied two shutouts in 2012.  The Bulls lost 19 letter winners from last season, but welcome in 11 newcomers to the team.

The Owls next travel to Birmingham, Ala., for a match-up against Samford on Friday, Sept. 14 at 7 p.m., followed by a home contest against UT Martin on Sunday, Sept. 16 at 1 p.m. at KSU Stadium.
