MORROW, Ga. – The Kennesaw State women’s soccer team finished off the 7v7 portion of its spring schedule in style on Saturday afternoon as it dominated all three periods against Clayton State.
KSU and Clayton State were the only two teams at the event on Saturday so the two squads played three 25-minute periods with seven field players and a goalkeeper.
The first period ended in a 1-1 draw as junior
Sofia Blanco scored the Owls lone goal. The second and third periods saw the Black and Gold post matching clean sheets of 1-0 against the Lakers. Sophomore
Kelsey Barr scored in the second period, while freshman
Iyani Hughes registered a goal in the third.
Each period also saw a different keeper in goal for the Owls as junior
Melissa Hutto, redshirt-freshman
Emily Cox and redshirt-junior Lauren Roberts all recorded several saves.
Kennesaw State wraps up its 2012 spring schedule on April 22 as it will play its annual Alumni Game at KSU Stadium.
