KENNESAW, Ga. - The Kennesaw State Owls men's basketball team will try to wrap-up their 2011-12 basketball campaign on a high note Saturday when they host the Lipscomb Bison on Senior Night at the KSU Convocation Center. Tip-off is scheduled for 5 p.m.

The Owls (3-27, 0-17 Atlantic Sun Conference) will be looking to snap an 18-game slide and nab their first A-Sun victory of the season. They have dropped their last three meetings with Lipscomb (12-17, 7-10 A-Sun).

The Last time the two teams met, the Owls shot just 32.1 percent from the floor and were on the business end of a, 75-52, decision, on Dec. 3, but were paced by Markeith Cummings, who had 15 points and 10 rebounds as one of three Owls in double figures. Aaron Anderson was dominant on the glass, pulling down a team-high 13 rebounds.

Lipscomb (12-17, 7-10 A-Sun) is coming off of a, 63-54, defeat at the hands of Mercer on Thursday evening, a game in which they struggled from the floor, shooting just 33.3 percent. Overall, they have dropped four straight games, their last three margins of defeat coming by single digits.

The Owls, for their part, dropped a, 90-50, decision to Belmont at the KSU Convocation Center on Thursday night, in their last game against the Bruins as conference opponents. Belmont is leaving the A-Sun for the Ohio Valley Conference after this season.

Prior to tip-off, the program will honor departing seniors Spencer Dixon, Romain Henry and Brandon Sewell. Long-time team manager Alex “Grits” Ireland will also be recognized.

Watch, Listen Live: Fans can listen to the action free-of-charge on KSU All Access, available at www.KSUOwls.com/Showcase. ASun.tv, the conference's subscription video streaming service, will provide live video of the game. Live stats will be available at www.Sidearmstats.com/kennesaw/mbball.

Tickets for Saturday are 10 dollars for adults and six dollars for youth in eighth grade or younger. Kennesaw State students receive free admission to all KSU home events when they present a valid student ID.

Seniors looks back on their time at Kennesaw State:

Spencer Dixon:

“It’s been a blessing for me to be able to play in so many games without missing any. I always knew that there are so many people that would sacrifice so much to have the opportunity that I have, so I never let small injuries, getting banged up a little, slow me down.

“I’ve met so many great people here, friendships and relationships that I can’t wait to continue after my college years are over. I’ll miss playing with my teammates, and believe it or not, I really will miss the practices and conditioning with my teammates, what we went through every day to get better.”

 Romain Henry:
“My time at Kennesaw State has meant a lot to me, I always aspired to be a Division I athlete and this allowed me to fulfill a lifelong dream.”

“The night when we beat Georgia Tech, that was such an incredible night. I didn’t play in that game, but being a part of it, preparing for the game and then seeing my teammates go out and beat them in front of the crowd we had here, that was unbelievable. We see the potential this program has, not only during that game but every time Mercer comes here, I’m proud to say I was part of what is just the beginning of something special like this.”

Brandon Sewell:
“I always wanted to play college basketball, even as a student in college I never stopped thinking about it. I had spent a lot of time in the practice gym this summer playing with my current teammates, and I just decided to try and go for it. Instead of just playing I did a lot of drills for weeks so I would be in better shape come time for tryouts, and it worked out. This has definitely been a dream come true for me.”
