DELAND, Fla. – The Kennesaw State Owls looks to end off their road trip on a positive note on Monday evening, when they visit the Stetson Hatters at the Edmunds Center.

The Black and Gold are coming off of a, 92-74, loss at Florida Gulf Coast on Saturday evening, a game in which Markeith Cummings led all scorers with 20 points and the Owls (3-19, 0-10 A-Sun) led in the second half. Stetson (7-14, 4-6 A-Sun) will be trying to snap a five-game losing streak on Monday evening.

Stetson topped the Owls in their last meeting, which took place at the KSU Convocation on Jan. 2, 66-62.

Listen to All of the Action Live: Fans can listen to every Owls men’s basketball game live and on demand for free, all season long, on KSU All Access, at www.KSUOwls.com/showcase. Coverage on Monday night will begin at 6:45 p.m. ASun.tv, the official subscription video streaming service of the Atlantic Sun Conference, will offer live streaming of the action.

They Won't Be Visitors Many More Times: After Monday evening, the Owls will play six of their last eight regular season games at the KSU Convocation Center. That is in stark contrast to the beginning of their season, in which 15 of their first 19 contests were on the road.

About the Match-Up:
All-Time Series:
Owls lead, 7-6
Owls Record at the Edmunds Center: 3-3
The Last Time They Met: Jan. 2, 2012-Kennesaw, Ga.- Stetson 66, Owls 62.

Notable:
-The Owls were led by Markeith Cummings, who scored 17 points as one of four Owls in double figures.

-The Hatters were led by Chris Perez, who had 24 points on 8-for-11 shooting.

-Preston played just seven players in the contest of 1/2, the only time that has been the case this season.

-The loss snapped the Owls four-game winning streak against the Hatters.

-The Owls cut the deficit to as low as two points in the second half after trailing, 32-21, at halftime.

-There were only 23 turnovers between the two squads, with the Owls committing just 10.

-The game was the Owls first at home since Nov. 26, with them playing eight straight games on the road in between.

Last Time at the Edmunds Center: Jan. 16, 2011- Owls 63, Stetson 62
Trailing, 62-61, with five seconds left to play, Spencer Dixon took an inbounds pass and sprinted the length of the floor, driving into the lane and sinking a layup as time expired for the victory.

About the Hatters:
-The Hatters have dropped five consecutive games, and have been out-scored by an average of 12.4 points in those contests. They have struggled with their shooting during the latter part of that stretch, having shot under 40 percent from the field in each of their last three games.

-Stetson is led by Casey Alexander, who is in his first year as as a head coach after spending his entire playing and assistant coaching career at Belmont.

-The Hatters have a fairly balanced scoring attack, with just 58 percent of their points this season coming from their top three scorers. Junior Adam Pegg leads the way in that category with 14.2 points per game to rank fifth in the A-Sun, while sophomore Chris Perez (13.2 ppg) and junior Aaron Graham (12.3) are not far behind. Pegg had three consecutive 20+ point games before scoring 9 and 14 in the team’s last two contests, respectively.

-Stetson has been pretty effective on their home court this season, coming into Monday evening with a 5-4 record at the Edmunds Center.

Another Milestone for Markeith: Cummings recorded his 100th career steal on Saturday at FGCU, becoming just the second Owl in program history to score at least 1,400 points and be credited with at least 100 steals.

He’s on Pace: Owls senior guard Spencer Dixon enters Friday having played in 115 career games. Were he to play in all of the Owls remaining 9 regular season games, he would eclipse the Owls all-time career games played record, which is currently held by Dixon’s former teammate Kelvin McConnell, who made 123 appearances for the Black and Gold from 2007-11.

A Hard Day’s Work: One constant for the Owls this season has been the consistent court presence of Owls Delbert Love (36.6 mpg) Spencer Dixon (36.5) and Markeith Cummings (35.0). Entering Saturday, the trio rank first, second, and third in the A-Sun in minutes per game, respectively. Love and Dixon currently rank 24th and 26th in the nation in minutes per game, respectively.

Aaron Continues to Deliver: Aaron Anderson had his third straight double-double on Saturday evening at Florida Gulf Coast, dropping 15 points while hauling in 11 rebounds. The performance gave him his eighth double-double of the season and 11th double-digit rebounding game, both best in the A-Sun. As of Sunday, he is unofficially ranked 40th in the nation with 9.2 rebounds per game, according to Statsheet.com.

Delbert Does it All: Owls freshman Delbert Love showed his versatility at FGCU on Saturday evening, dishing out seven assists and tying a career high with four steals while scoring 16 points. Love made his mark as one of the top newcomers in the Atlantic Sun Conference throughout the season.

Passing the Boards: The Owls out-rebounded Florida Gulf Coast on Saturday evening,
32-29, after out-glassing North Florida last Monday night, 33-28, the second time this season in which they have out-rebounded consecutive opponents.
