The Owls (5-8) fell to Texas State in their earlier match, 3-0. Freshman outside hitter Keyaira Stevenson led the Owls with 14 kills in the loss as the Owls fought off seven match points before finally falling in the final set, 29-27.
The Mean Green (8-5) rebounded from last night's loss with a win over Jackson State, 3-0, early Saturday afternoon. UNT is led offensively by Eboni Godfrey, who is averaging 3.38 kills per set.
The Owls have never faced North Texas in the program's history.
